I received an email about webxen.com offering lifetime shared hosting for $45 one time payment. But why a company have to do this? All hosting companies out there are charging high prices for yearly hosting packages and no one really offers lifetime hosting. But this one is offering lifetime hosting for just $45? How $45 is enough for these companies to provide hosting services for lifetime?

This is the announcement page http://www.webxen.com/brain/announcements.php?id=5 which contains all facts about this package and apparently, this package is for only 50 customers and 49 are remaining now. I once registered with their lifetime hosting package before but I don't have need of that account yet. And their domain prices are also great, a .com for just $8.95 per year. I don't see any registrar offering this rate for renewals. I think these offers are part of their promotion as you can see other interesting announcements http://www.webxen.com/brain/announcements.php

Sounds like you are promoting them.

Yeah, I also feels like this because I posted about them second time, but actually I found their offers worth sharing.

How is this even possible...they need to pay electricity bills and employee salaries.

Because they are going to stuff that server till it overloads and goes so slow you will be forced to upgrade to their higher plan even though you have 1 visitor a day.

The usual tactic. Nothing any web hosting wouldn't do. If you want more honest host that is still /reasonably/ cheap, hawkhost 2 years after discount is 53.82 USD.

They'll be overselling like crazy and their customer support will be 1/10. Cloudatcost.com does the same.

sorry, but I think they forget tell you the 2017 is the world end....
