How to choose a contest winner?

Hi fellow hatters,
I want to make a contest where followers can win something.
Wanted to give my followers an increased chance for: following, subscribing and liking my SM sites. Sharing/retweeting a post...
How do you guys manage this and choose a winner?

Most of those are against the terms of service of social sites (Fb for example doesn't allow shares for contest entries).
Best bet would be to send them to a landing page where they submit the email.

Make a list of your followers, use a random line picker to choose the winner, make a video of the process and upload it for them to see.

Put the entries into excel , go to random org , insert 1 until the number of the entries , push the generate button and you have your winner. Also capture it and share it.

Thanks, but I would have come up with this myself if I knew how to gather them all from fb, insta and twitter - filter out invalid users and so on...

There are a number of tools like contest capture, random results that you can use to make picking a contest winner

I think it's the way to find the good winner of the contest.
