Hi guys, I was wondering what your best settings were on instagress for high followback ratio and engagement.
Thanks in advance!

How's come that all users which are talking about instagress have less than 15 posts?
If I remember well, the owner was banned here on bhw because he steal some users accounts.

I don't really know what you're trying to say but anyway, I have over 40 posts.

Yea, the forum lies

If you're interested in a safer alternative to Instagress, I'd like to recommend you ChompSocial. Disclaimer: I'm the developer.

Why would it be safer?

Here are a couple reasons:

1. ChompSocial has authorized usage of the Instagram APIs whereas I don't believe Instagress does. Reasons being is that first, Instagress requires you to provide your Instagram password to them. They have a message saying they never store your username and/or password but it looks suspicious when you're required to fill out the login form on their website, whereas ChompSocial actually has you redirected to the official Instagram login portal where you actually authorize the app to carry out operations on your behalf. Second, under Instagram's platform policy you are not allowed to use the words "insta" or "gram" in any combination of your name so I assume they're either emulating your account through their own interface or they registered under a different app name for the API access, either way seems kind of sketch.

2. With ChompSocial you're limited 60 follows/unfollows and 60 likes per hour, whereas I think Instagress has several options that allow you to circumvent those limits. The obvious downside here is of course not being able to perform as many actions per hour, however I keep hearing how you have to be very cautious when you work with services like Instagress in order to prevent your Instagram account from getting banned. This isn't something I or other current users on Chomp have to worry or deal with because we're already authorized to perform those tasks.

Hope that answers your question and feel free to let me know if you have any more!

Since all automatisation is against the IG ToS, don't you easily risk that the IG team simply close down your app? Also in that case it would be very easy to see and ban all users that have access ChompSocial?

i have a question.

its a bot or a web tool ?

There is no fast or slow speed with ChompSocial. Since the app utilizes Instagram's APIs, users can follow/unfollow up to a total of 1,440 profiles, which is in accordance to Instagram's limit of 60 actions per hour.

The ToS for Instagram's APIs specifically forbid automating and form of posting content, which ChompSocial doesn't provide.

ChompSocial also doesn't provide automating comments, and most likely never will. This was a feature which received has been frequently requested by our users, however at this point I still don't see a viable way where you could automate comments on a high scale level (think 1k+ comments a day), and not have it seen as spam. Theoretically you could have a thousand variations of "cool pic bro!" followed by a random amount of 1-1000 exclamation points but then you're just jumping on the fast track to getting banned.

Also in the past when we've had a user use ChompSocial and Instagress simultaneously (obviously NOT recommended), Instagram proceeded to notify us that the particular user in question had been placed on a temporary ban for several days from making any API calls. In that event, the rest our user base remains unaffected because the API limits imposed by Instagram are never breached.

Thanks for the added info ferspec. Only 1 account... dropped MP to give Chomp a shot yesterday - don't need the bells and whistles of MP. Been meaning to find a simple tool I can use when travelling.
