Dropped Web 2.0 v PBN

If I were to scrape 10 deactivated Web 2.0s that had some decent page / domain authority, how would these compare to sites with in a PBN with similar metrics?

So would a dropped blog that had 90/25 DA, PA with no spam and decent backlinks be anywhere near as effective as a similar PBN site that had say 25/25 DA PA?

I do not think so.
Although dropped web 2.0 will definitely be better than new web 2.0 they will be nowhere as effective as PBN's

Although, I haven't done any tests on this but I have always seen a better SERP increase when I built a PBN as compared to an expired Web 2.0

The benefit of dropped web 2 is the strength of the domain. However you have to keep it alive on the TLD as well as big G. Versus a dropped domain, which will be weaker but you own it, therefore you only have to make it passable to G.

In reality dropped domains which are allowed to soak done properly will look more natural whereas if the majority of your links come from subdomains it will look suspicious. A mix might be better. But the choice is ultimately yours.

PBN domains will always beat web2.0s . Even if you find similar metrics, it's highly unlikely you'll find web2.0s with similar links to pbn domains.
