Should I Buy Exact Match .site Domain Instead ?

Hi Guys,

I have planning on making niche sites and monetize via Adsense. The keywords I have found by "Google Keyword Planner" is Low competition but CPC is like 0.48$+ . The exact match .com & .net domains are not available but there is no actual site on those keywords. Should I buy exact match .site or other domain ?

How to start with this? Any suggestions ?

I do not like those new TLDs. They are hard to remember for people unless you brand them.

I personally prefer common TLDs, but from SEO perspective it does not matter at all what domain-ending you choose.

Thanks for your reply. Do you think those tlds are good for a niche site ? Coz people are not going to come back again and again to a niche site. They just need them when they search for some topic on google ? You have any suggestion ?

Why do you think if it's low competition keyword that you are fine?

Low competition does not mean that you will have no competition in this niche, it means that advertisers do not pay for ads on this niche.

Adwords is advertisers tool so Google show them how much competition do they have with other advertisers for some keyword.

OP sorry for hijacking your thread but I also have a question about the new TLDs. If you buy a domain such as business.site will it have the same value as business.com which is a domain that costs a lot?

Agree with Adrian... use niche related domain name that sounds serious enough, so that people think it's a trustful source...And at the end the content of the site is most important, not EMD

2) With the hyphen, the search query does not match the domain name.

I tried, and I failed.

Those domains will rank only if huge brands use it, it's weird but it's true.

So, if some huge tutorial page use domain findhow.to they will rank with .to domain.

If some huge stock company use .photo or .stock TLD they will rank.

Look for high or at least mid Adwords competition keywords with CPC at least $1 and number of monthly searches at least 5k.

I think this a misbelief.
I feel like all TLDs rank the same. There are fare more .com domains around than .site ones, thats why it seems like .com is ranking better, but I think it does not matter at all.

Regarding the moz study you have linked:
I think experienced IMers usually do not go for new TLDs, thats why on average .com ranks better, plus keep in mind there is no way you can have an aged .site domain as they do not exist for that long.
