Wheres my followers at?

Hey all, brand spanking new to Pinterest. I've done a bunch of searches around here for a MassPlanner or FollowLiker PINTEREST (not IG) tutorial or strategy, but haven't been too lucky. The Beginner's Pinterest guide gives a helpful description of what Pinterest is, and helps sell it as a great SEO weapon to keep in our arsenal, but not the strategy on how to get it going, and build up an empire.

I've just purchased a ton of pinterest accts, but my goal this weekend is to get just 1 acct going strong and then replicate that strategy for different niches. I already run both MassPlanner and FL for 100+ IG Accounts with HQ virgin proxies (250,000+ Followers and about 10-15K new followers each day, so not too shabby).

I have 1 board with 26 HQ music videos related to a tiny niche. I have liked 250 similar pins in the tiny niche, and following about 100 people. I still don't have a single follower. If this was IG, I'd already have about 3% followback by now (for brand spanking new accounts).

What am I missing guys? Do I need more pins? Do I have to repin other's posts too?

Is there an "FLC" type of function like in Instagram (Follow them, like 2-3 of their posts, repin 1 or 2 of their posts)?

ok, so I think I've found the answer. The account must have the entire page filled with boards. There must be around 200-500 total pins across all the boards (there can be some with 20, and others with 100+). After this, its ok to go nuts with Mass Planner and start following around 200 people a day (in the first weeks) and eventually 500-1000 later on. Its actually similar to the Instagram strategy, but instead of 20 really good photos, I need 500.

Can anyone verify my thinking?

Just created tumbler to dump the HQ pics I've collected for IG (I have close 100K across 15 niches). Using ifttt.com to copy them from dropbox to tumblr, from tumblr to pinterest board. Maxed out Tumblr after 150 posts - have to wait till tomorrow. Manually pinned another 200 niche-specific youtube clips. Spent nearly 10 hours today getting this sorted.

My account has 12 Boards, 350 pins.....ok let the followers begin!

Not sure but I'm using FollowLiker to follow 1k accounts per day on Pinterest. The account is very active and has lots of original photos.

Thats awesome. How old is your account? Is it safe to increase my 200 following by 50 followers every 3 days (increase by 100 a week)?

Also, how many new original posts are you making per day, is one a day sufficient? Or does your audience expect 5 a day?

I just got my first 3 followers. Woooo! 350 pins + 12 Boards seems to be the minimum number to start fresh from zero in my niche.

It's a year old account with almost 4k pins and 50 boards. I guess it would be safe to increase your following by 50 every 30 days.

I don't run the bot 24/7, only from 3am - 8pm, Monday - Saturday. I also change the settings as often as possible to make it not appear it's being automated.

Yep good advice. My bot sleeps for 8 hours and takes a nap after a certain amount of follows.

Is there a good way to scrape a board's pins (rather than repinning which sends the owner an alert that I'm kidnapping all their content) ?

Does it really matter if I REPIN a great piece of content (most bots do this) versus PIN the content from the source (Manually - I haven't seen a bot that does this). Repin vs Pin... any difference?

RePIN - On Pinterest I repin someone else's pin of the youtube video of the Beatles

A last observation - I noticed people debating over deleting or not deleting pins and found this interesting article:

Grats. Perhaps you found something that can be repeated. One thing I've been seeing about followers is that whenever I spot check any random series of 10, half or more are bots or other IMers who are only interested in YOU following them. So maybe adjusting expectations are in order.

Not sure exactly how the smart feed algo will treat a pin. But if you repin, you'll be seen by that someone from their upper right dropdown. Maybe they'll go to your profile which could then lead to them following you back solely because you gave them some attention. I read awhile back that 80% of pins from Pinterest are repins. So perhaps follow that 20 (orig) / 80 (repin) ratio.

Great advice thanks! Def will adjust expectations. See if the bots/IM'ers unfollow after a week or a month.

at +130 followers from zero on a week old account.

Hi i have seen some bots, one thing i think you should try is comment on pins mainly in you niche but also on popular pins most bots i have seen do that.
