So I want to sell shirts on my Instagram Page via Teespring, but i dont quite get it

If I set the Sell Goal to 5, what does that mean ?

For example :

I Set the Sell Goal to 5, and 3 people already orderd a shirt, when will they recieve it ? Do they have to wait until all 5 shirts a orderd ?

5 shirts need to sell in order for them to be shipped to the customer and for you to get paid.

the goal is the exact amount of shirts that need to be ordered before the workers at teespring process your order in order words thats only when you will get paid

If 3 people order a shirt and your goal is 5, than they have to wait until you reach your goal and get 2 more people to order than the shirt will be shipped.

If I was you, I would go with spreadshirt for IG selling instead of teespring

Thanks for this, didn't know about Spreadshirt.
Site and designs seem way more modern than Teespring.

Thanks man! definitely will check it out

Teespring has already launched goal of 1, it means if only one buyer would purchase they will shiped it, but you have to keep your goal 1. if you put goal 5 it means if you will get five order then the shirt will print and shipped, but if you failed to reach your goal and suppose only 1 shirt sold then after camapigns end they will ship the shirt to buyer nad paid you the profit, I am in Teespring around 6 months, i love their work and service. They are the best.

according to what you say, TS will ship and pay REGARDLESS OF the goal you set?
(i remember the told me it was 2-3 depending your location)

Yep no need to reach your goal anymore.

so the goal is totally meaningless since the cost per shirt depends on the actual number printed anyway and they will ship anything sold?

All I know is that I set my goal at 40 and the whole time I cursing because I forgot to change my campaign length from 2 weeks...as I was selling them the profit figure kept rising but I want getting excited as I got to the 20 mark on the final day... Then boom the payment was confirmed based on those 20. I even did a 2 day campaign at set goal at 10...only sold 4 and still made 45 profit.

If you set your goal at 40 they will only start printing after 40 orders have been placed.

If more people order it will keep going tho.

If less people order no shirts are printed or sent out.

"Your goal is the number of units you?re aiming to sell, but we?ll print your campaign as long as you sell enough to generate a profit."

They print it only when the campaign ends. And either you achieved your goal or not. Setting a higher goal basically just gives you a higher % from the total profit.

not likely - the cost of the shirt obviously depends on the actually number sold, not what you say you will sell.

Mhm, you set the price. If they're the ones manufacturing it, I doubt the costs will be different if the quantity is different.

But who cares? Basically the purpose of the goal is to get more % from each sale. If you accomplish your goal then you accomplish a higher % for each sale.

If I set my goal at "1" and I only sell one 20$ shirt then I will have an estimated 4$ revenue for "each" sale.

If I set my goal at "1000" and I achieve that by selling 1000 20$ shirts then I will have an estimated 12.07$ revenue for each sale.

I believe there are many factors to be considered.

It depends on the niche, engagement and gender. I've seen pages with less than 10k followers selling 7-8 shirts within a week.

It depends also on how you promote it, and obviously also how appealing and good looking the design is.
