Twitter Traffic Sucks!

If any of you guys have seen my posts, I absolutely hate Twitter. I've had accounts from 2000 - 20,000 real followers with 1000's of tweets and I have never made a dime with Twitter.

Every now and again, I will run a test on it to see if it has changed. I recently ran such a test. The Twitter account is at 2063 followers and naturally gaining about 50 followers a day. I post really good tweets and get retweets and favs with my niche hashtags. I can stay at the top for my term all week if I wanted to but stopped only after a day once I saw basically no results.

So alot of people ask if Twitter is worth it? You be the judge.

also, what method are you using? adsense? cpa? clickbank? etc. some work better than others.

Another one saying Twitter makes them no money. Don't know what you guys do or how badly you're doing something wrong, because I make a lot from Twitter and always have done.

Well, I guess some people are Twitter "Guru's" But apparently I'm not. Like I said, I just test it out with different niches once and awhile. I know a ton of people don't make a dime on Twitter. I think brands and famous people do amazing. Maybe even local people do great, but thats about it.

How is that even possible, that you get only 1 click on your link, when you have almost 300 RTs and 100 likes on that tweet, assuming those RTs and likes are real? I would not believe it, if i didn't see it with my own eyes, i'd have said, that stats like this can't exist. lol

It seems you can draw attention pretty easily, but whatever you're offering, people don't wish to leave Twitter for it or people find your link suspicious/repelling for some reason, so they don't click, but i think, it's still can't explain the low click amount, when all the other engagement is fairly high.

Twitter traffic doesn't suck though, i'm getting around 1k uniques daily with 100 accs, targeted traffic, around 90k followers total.

Well, I got the retweets for it through social share sites. They are not from accounts I made. I make good money in list building and was hoping to add Twitter to help me do that. Thats the reason I test Twitter once in awhile. But its no big deal, I guess Twitter isn't for everybody.

nothing to do with being a guru, i know plenty of people making money on twitter. I myself make money on twitter.

is the traffic quality the best? no. but that's why you need a lot of followers, it takes time, you can't just open an account get 2000 followers and expect to make 100$ a day...

it's very clear from your last comment that you are CLUELESS when it comes to twitter... go through the journey section and you'll see people making some cash. just one examples would be wizard04.

he started slowly, making less than a dollar a day, and after a few months he was making 50$ a day.

internet marketing is not for the lazy, if you are not willing to work for it, you better get a job at mickey d's

Just for curiosity i drive 20.000 clicks everyday from Twitter.

You are not alone - have same issue with Twitter
150 000 followers + i tweet 100 (!) tweets per day with *viral* titles = 1000 clicks per day

lol, that's the issue then, i thought those RTs and likes are real

keep posting, test things and definitely use more than just one account, if you want to see anything substantial

@faibol Well, I'm far from lazy. I work everyday making sure my funnels are running and my paid advertising keywords are performing and finding new ones. I do tons of tracking over different platforms so I know my advertising dollars get spent for maximum results.

I was planning on buying some Twitter advertising which is why a ran this test. But like I said, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it...lol

I'm not sure, if it was the only test you run now, but i'm pretty sure that it gave you the wrong idea and Twitter ads won't disappoint you.

It's also possible, that you're ghosted from the search, so while you think that your tweets are sitting in the search for people to be found, they don't. Do you find your tweets under the 'Live' tab on Twitter search when searching for "from:yourtwitterusername" or just the under 'Top' tab? If it's the latter, your tweets are ghosted and only your followers are able to see them.

well, i was talking in general, usually the people who complain don't do the work needed, so that's why i made that comment.

it sound like you are doing great, so you can ignore that part.

if you want to get a good result on twitter you'll need to get a lot more followers, but maybe it just not worth it since you are already making a lot of money...

I've made money with twitter traffic mainly from ads, and I was running 10 accounts with 25,000 + followers on each. You can use it to boost your sites traffic and value in the SER. There are ways to make money from twitter traffic if your in the correct niche. I do agree that twitter traffic dose not work on every niche and in every case.

Here is the very first Tweet I made with this account. I had maybe 150 followers and I didn't add any retweets or likes. Makes no sense.

Did you check if your domain is blacklisted by twitter? Sometime twitter blacklist that domain and warn their users about leaving twitter to visit such links. Check the link by clicking thru when you logout of twitter. Let me know if this helps.
