Hello guys,

I am promoting a fitness blog through Instagram, which has 5k+ members and 100+ likes per post. I try to post a screenshot of my article from a Facebook post and linking it using the bio. The problem is that, when I look at Google Analytics no one seems to click the link in the bio when they're informed. It also supposedly shows visits from Instagram...

Am I doing something wrong? Or it is just that my audience appears to just stick in Instagram.

Thank you in advance!

Kind regards,
T

i think its quite difficult to drive traffic to your blog from instagram because its unable to click link unless through bio, if you in need of blog traffic i suggest u try twitter or facebook

Write something like "Read more on the blog: link in the bio!" under your instagram photos.
I don't know how it should be, but in my Analytics instagram traffic only appears as 'direct' source.

Hello!

Thank you for all your replies. I didn't know what was happening to my blog through Instagram. So I thought I should post.

How's promoting blog posts through IG for you guys? I find it hard like someone said in this thread and them users don't seem to be interested...

I found driving traffic through instagram quite hard. It will only show as "direct traffic", so also hard to track. You would have to set up a campaign for that. Not sure how well it tracks tho..also the parameters might look spammy to instagram.

^Can you not just shorten it using shorteners?

Is it really that hard for them to click the link in the bio when they see the post? How about the CPA offers some are doing here?

use a shortner for your link and add that in the bio, it will show you exactly how many clicks you get from instagram, if you get any :)

You're going to ruin your page if you keep doing that. Followers hate it and it always leads to unfollows.

I definitely disagree with that one for sure. If you have the type of audience that likes reading certain type of content, go for it! Just don't go crazy posting a million post about your blog of course.
