Current followers: 123k (+16k from last week)

This week has been one of my best weeks yet in terms of followers gained! 16k is crazy! The best part is, I haven't been following/unfollowing at all... So this means completely organic. However, what I have noticed is that my followers don't seem to be hugely influencable. What I mean by that is that, I've partnered up with someone to promote their adsense website, and struggled to even get a click a day by having the website in my bio and shouting it out with my page. Not too sure why these stats are so low. However, the page is still very good for promoting other peoples pages. Everyone is willing to pay good money, so i'm not one to complain. I made around 130$ this week in shoutouts, so i think i will continue monetizing it this way. Until I find some better way to do it. Am still trying to learn CPA and find a good working method to go alone with it, so if anyone is having success with it and good give me some pointers or head me in the right direction well just hit me up on skype or pm me here and we can have a chat! Instagram users are generally lazy and don't want to leave Instagram in general...but that's just the nature of the website I guess.

Hi, yes I could do this if I wanted to. You can generally create a shopify store and dropship using aliexpress and make a nice profit out of it, but people have to obviously buy from your store. However, as of now this is somewhat too much work for me and Im looking at a lot of passive income method. Therefore, this is why I do instagram shoutouts as well as doing a but if cpa on the side.

Is your IG account about a specific niche like food or travel, for example or something much broader like quotes? I would think that at 100,000k followers your income from this should be higher? I'm not asking you to reveal your niche but I would appreciate some feed back about income potential and niche selection.

Day 4 Update:
Followers: 1706 (+174)

Hey everyone, today has been really bad compared to my previous updates. I mean, 174 followers isn't bad, but nowhere near what I was averaging. 2 main reasons to this:

1. I had school through out the day
2. I was unfollowing people only today. (Didn't follow anyone at all)

I was following around 4500 people, and had 1500 followers roughly, i figured it looked kinda bad and my followers to following ratio would look much better if i would simply start unfollowing people before i follow anyone again. Unfortunately i've gotten banned again, but it seems to me that the follow/unfollow limits for my account anyways are set at approximately 1500 per day. So now i'll now. Anyways, tomorrow will probably be an unfollow day again, so keep an eye out for that tomorrow.

Finally, does anyone have any suggestions on how i could unfollow people, but not accidentally follow them back again later? Thanks for the input everyone!

Hi, i don't mind revealing my niche, as i've done so previously. I am in the fitness niche. I post general pics of fitness models as well as some healthy food here and there and what not. Pretty generic pictures of fit models or flat stomachs, etc. I think I could be making more if I had a steady deal or partnership with some sort of product or company. However, i haven't really gotten the time recently to contact any really due to school. Therefore, i'm resorting to random shoutout requests that i get on a weekly basis.

Hi, thanks appreciate the kind words. As for your questions, i have a gmail account set up specifically for shoutouts/business inquiries as well as a kik. So, i process the shoutouts through both my gmail and kik account. I'm aslo signed up on shoutcart.com and sell a few shoutouts there every week or so, however they do take 10% comission fee. As for the Paypal account, a simple normal one should do. I'm currently using my own personal one. Goodluck to you as well.

To be honest there's no guarantee that you won't be refollowing the same people. However, what i like to do is keep around 3-4 bigger accounts in the back of my mind to work with. Therefore, what i do is one week i'll be following the people who like pictures big account #1 and then unfollowing them that same week, then next week i'll go on the pictures of account #2 and follow the people who liked them, etc... Therefore, you have lower chances of having any overlaps. However, you will have some and that's unavoidable, but it reduces the amount of overlap that you'll get if you do it this way.

Update:

Sorry for not updating in 2 weeks or so. Have been real busy with school and what not, but I haven't given up that's for sure. Simply have had less time to work on all of this.

Current followers: 152k (+28k in 2 weeks)

Have sold a around 150$ worth of shoutouts this week and around 200$ last week. As i've said i've been really busy with school and haven't had much time to work on the account in general, therefore some of the engagement has been a bit down lately. That's ok though. I hope to reach 200k before march ends.

What I need to do before the end of march:

- I need to start messaging companies and brands to promote some products that i think won't harm my credibility or followers in any way. (Company shoutouts can be more profitable and much more stable in terms of a source of income.)

-Try to increase my engagement by keeping a steady follow/unfollow going. (not as much as i used to, but not to leave it to dry either.)

-Reach 200k followers.

I've also been busy trying to work on other projects such as cpa with other instagram accounts, haven't had major success as of yet, but still testing. Am trying to get into FB groups as well to try and promote some cpa as well. If anyone is interested or has more experience than me in the matter I'm always willing to discuss.

Final Update:

It's been a long road since the very beginning, but this journey is coming to an end at last. My initial thought was to continue this journey as long as I was satisfied with the earnings I made and I certainly am happy. I've managed to make 200$ in this final week through shoutouts and have been confronted by many individuals looking to buy the account. Most offers were simply under-evaluating the account as a lot of people are completely oblivious as to the value of good engagement. However, just yesterday i was approached by an individual and the offer was too good to pass on, therefore I decided to sell the account entirely. Those curious, the account sold for x,xxx. At the time of sale, the account had more than 160,000 followers, getting decent engagement. I am extremely happy with the progress i've made throughout this journey and have learnt so much.

Future plans include:

-Testing some CPA+Facebook groups
-Building more Instagram accounts in multiple niches (through massplanner this time rather than manually)
-Save up a bit of the hard earned cash to make sure i have enough for university
-Invest more time in new methods and different areas of IM.

I will not be updating this journey thread as of today as it is officially complete. However, i will check from time to time as I know some of you may have questions and I am more than happy to answer.

Throughout the journey the two most important things i've learned and can leave you all with is this.
#1 Dont give up if things aren't progressing as you wish. If i would've done so, i would've probably have given up at multiple occasions throughout the journey as every two weeks or so engagement seemed to be very down. Things may take a turn for the worst in your journey through IM, but knowing when to quit and when to keep working on it is a real struggle. When in doubt keep at it.
#2 Consistency is key. I'm an extremely lazy person and the reason why i haven't had much success in IM up until today (which isn't that much success honestly compared to most people) is because I wasn't consistent. Instagram was the only real method which i tried and constantly posted, constantly followed/unfollowed/liked, it's the only thing that I really kept at and didn't mind doing. So, my suggestion to you guys is to find something you don't mind doing, and if you hate doing absolutely everything that resembles work and you're a lazy fuck like me, then at the very least find a niche that intrigues you or your passionate about. I know it's a cliche part of IM, but it's so true.

OP, I've noticed this person has commented repeatedly on so many threads including mine which includes a generic message along the lines of congratulating, the word newbies, improving and some random questions. Is there some sort of reward or an increase in status for commenting on random posts? I was thinking of reporting this person because i checked the threads that he commented on and most of them are just random comments.

My conclusion is he's just trying to increase the number of posts he has. Stop being spammy!!!!!!!!!!
