How to monetize large forum?

Hi guys, I have been lurking for months but decided to register to ask you this question, awesome content here.

My forum gets 50k+ uniques a day according to google analytics which is quite a lot, however I am unable to monetize the forum. Google adsense didn't work for me.

How can I monetize my forum for max profit? Any good methods? Gets a lot of organic traffic through search engines as well.

Depends entirely on the niche but you could add some sort of premium/account upgrade feature, sell ad space, sell products relating to the niche etc.. the list goes on.

Won't work, it only works for BHW because people here make money off the content posted. And it's focused on money making. The user base of my website are tech savvy nerds who don't want to pay for anything(on the forum).

I tried most of those, didn't really work. How would you even implement clickbank on a forum? Niche is men's health related.

You are saying that people won't pay for banner ads on your site?

I'm hard pressed to believe that is a reality as any active site, no matter what the format, is prime for banner ads.

Well then the solution is simple: porn ads. Think about it, they're dorks on a men's dating and health forum. If that doesn't scream "10 wanking sessions a day", then I don't know what does.

I see only providers, you ever thought or spilt tested different placements of your offers/ads?

you can combine adsense + cpm banner provider + cpa offers + affiliate crap. and we can recommend a lot...

But im guessing if you can monetize whit adsense and 50k users a day you deff should invest some time in your add placements.
most off the times this is way overlooked.
Check your userclicks (heatmaps) for example check where your users are the most active. then be creative whit the placements.

anyways you can check other offers other programs, i think your issue is the placements... (as most off the time).

I doubt the issue is placements though, many users use adblock. My RPM is only 0.10. Even though I have banner ads between posts, big box ads above every thread/page. Any suggestions for CPM banner networks/cpa/affilliate?

If you blame adblocks, then use a anti adblocker it inst against any law and its complaint whit the tos off google.
As long if you ask nicely and states why.

again there can be many factors why your rpm is low and i bet it isnt due adblocker. But due crappy setup. (you use adsense channels or just dumped 10 different ads?)
crappy traffic from none cpc related kws?
well i can continue! i dont see any hard facts or give us the facts why it fails. you should check that first before you continue searching for 100 different methodes and waist time on that.
You just stated what i was thinking you dint did a proper research Jet!

Do some basic checks where it goes wrong. and else follow BassTrackerBoats advice!
