Hi guys, is it okay to re-verify an Instagram account with a new phone number instead of the phone number that was used the first time?

Never needed to re-verify, you'd better do tasks the way that do no require verification at all.
But IG is not asking for the number. They are asking for a number to receive SMS. So next time it might be a different one.

you can easily use another phone number, you could have changed number recently and accidentally forgotten to update it.

an account that gets asked for reverification is probably more than flagged and you can't expect this to be a good sign.

simply use proper settings and you'll probably never be asked to reverify your account.

Really appreciate your insight longdouble. I actually bought premium IPs and paid to get accounts created with my IPs. 1 account was created per IP, but when I tried logging into those accounts via assigned IPs i got the phone re-verification on all the accounts. Do you know a way around this? Would really appreciate any help you can give me.

Very likely it is the bot that got you banned. I create accounts and they stay alive, no verification asked.
You see, there are tons of requests going through while creating an account, but bot creators tend to code only one: /acpi/v1/accounts/create.
Also, they created your account with one UUID/device_id pair, you logged in with another. This is another warning sign.

Next time ask if account creators can provide you GUID/UUID, device_id, phone_id, cookies. To be consistent you will take them and enter in your bot. 99% deliver just username+password.
