I have a few other websites making me money right now. My income is pretty decent for now, getting reaally close to 5 figures. I have another journey thread talking about my plan to use custom software uploading 5k vids/day automatically using re-upload method.

But I set up a website selling iPhone unlocks and I got my first sale of $92 for a T-mobile iPhone 6s Plus Unlock

I don't know if you read my other thread but I've had trouble with Adwords and wasted money. didn't make a single dime :( What I did differently was use bing. I always have good experience from bing, and it seems like there are a lot more buying customers on bing for some reason.

here is my previous Adwords thread:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/making-money/821294-just-wasted-73-63-adwords.html

I realized my landing page wasn't really the problem, It was my ad copy. What I did was kind of copy ads from competitors and tweak them a little bit (obviously).

So I spent about $12 on ads and got a $92 sale. I used stripe for payment processing so after their fees it is about $89.03 that gets deposited to my bank account in 7 days for the first transfer (future transfers only take two days). I purchased the Tmobile service from eBay for $49, the total was $51.54

PROFIT:

$92(sale) -
Stripe fees = $89.03
$89.03 -
$51.54(service) = $37.53
$37.53 -
$12(bing ads) = $25.53 profit

Congrats man, keep it up i know how it feels when you make the first $$ online :D.

Love reading success stories! Hope you make more sales soon!

Thanks guys, the goal is to get 2 sales for every $10 I invest in bing ads. I believe this is possible.

Nice mate, I always wondered why big ads have a better ROI, maybe more serious advertisers ?

yes awesome job. I am reading all the threads i can find here, and learning alot. My plan originally was going into threads find if its worth reading then read. It seems every thread i go into is worth reading i'm learning a tonne.

In this thread i learnt about stripe, and just spent the last hour or so opening my account, nice. will be handy for my projects.

Question) from what i have read i gather you have to have ssl to use it. Does this require a private IP? I am thinking from what i've learnt so far i cant just use swipe with my shared hostgator hosting. =(

do you have to buy a certificate for every site you create to use stripe?

thanks for advice i dont know anything about this only what i just read online about stripe.

You will need a dedicated ip to install ssl on your hosting. I really hate hostgator but, you can use shared hosting for your site. All an ssl does is encryption of personal data like address and credit cards when customers make a payment so hackers can't steal it. I used rapid ssl. When i get bigger i will get an ev ssl with an llc for my online business. My advice is treat your store like a REAL BUSINESS. Keep track of how much you spend on ads, seo, your profit margins everything. It will help you greatly.

thanks, do you need a dedicated ip for every site you create, say i have 8 different niche websites on their own domain, will i have to buy this dedicated ip 8 times? what is the cost of it?

who do you reccomend in place of hostgator

thanks again

UPDATE:

Here are my results for bing so far, I got rid of the other ads.

Any recommendations on how I can improve my PPC campaign at all. Or is there a course that I can use to learn more about ppc marketing, so I am not just throwing away cash on ads. thanks

If you are trying to make sales on all 8 of those sites using stripe, then yes you will need ssl certificate & dedicated ip for each. Or you could set up an ssl on one site and just create subdomains, so all your sites are secure and that will save you A LOT of money. I have about 3 sites now, but I can't tell you the price of a dedicated ip, you will have to research a little:). I use GoDaddy hosting w/ their dedicated ip. I paid $8.95/month for hosting and my dedicated ip was about $5/month (in a 3 month package).

In place of Host Gator I recommend anything really, (you can tell I have had bad experience with Shit Gator:() I would go with Host Monster, Blue hosting is really good also. I hope that helps man.
