I found this video while I was shopping around for a pair of new sunglasses.

I thought the "Illusion of choice" and "Everything is worth what people are ready to pay" notions were very interesting, especially since, in the case of the latter, I know of a few business owners who undersell themselves without realising it.

Ooooo shit. When I see someone sitting down next to a big 3D Model, I know it's gonna be a good video.
Will watch this later as I need to catch some ZZzzs :)

That's funny!
Yes, this is called consumer behavior, social consumerism and economics. You really want to blow your mind, study quantum mechanics and color theory. By study I mean, read 5 books on each topic.
The video was merely interesting, but not mind-blowing.

That reminds me, there was a television programme I used to watch called Through The Wormhole. It covered a variety of topics including quantum mechanics, so you might enjoy it. Of course, it's not as in-depth as what you might find in a book or a study dedicated to each individual topic, but it's entertaining nonetheless.

I was once Luxottica's top 5 seller in the country back in 2001-2002. They have certainly lost a lot of edge after the economy downfall. Tried to buy up every brand out there! Now they are hoping after burning 3 CEO's they can find profit in the EM...which sounds like discounted designer brand glasses coming (if you order them from a foreign supplier)..

This is why I'm going to order my glasses online. My brother got a brand new pair of prescription glasses online for $100. Went to get an exam done for $35, got his prescription, and ordered his glasses online. Spent $135 total and got a nice pair of glasses.

How interesting. Yeah, they mentioned their buying-spree in that video above as well.

My aunt told me about a site similar to the one you described several years ago. I'll probably do the same as I need a new pair of glasses and contacts.

Hey, it looks like I'm about to win a pair of Ray-Bans for $20 on Ebay, although I might try to cancel the bid since I already bought a pair a couple of days ago.

Edit: Ah, I can't retract bid. :(
