Where to go ? Summer plans

maybe it's just me, but i wouldn't go too far away

4 days in Northern Italy (Tuscany, Florence, Padua, Verona, Milan), 3 days on the Cote d'Azur (Monaco, Nice, Cannes) + Marseille and 1 day in Andorra, 1-2 days to come back home
or
3 days on the Cote d'Azur, 1 day traveling down following the Mediterranean coastline towards Marseille in the direction of Spain, 1 day in Andorra and 3 days in Spain (Barcelona n stuff), 1-2 days to come back home

i would take the car instead of the plane, the route is scenic all the way down from when you reach the coastline of the Mediterranean Sea somewhere near Genoa in Italy, if you stay on the highway, it stays beautiful throughout whole Italy and it is beautiful on the Cote d'Azur and it's also beautiful in Southern France near the Spanish border, if you take the scenic route instead of the highway there and Andorra in itself is a treasure, plus duty free shopping, booze, cigs and a bunch of other stuff are tax free there, a pack of cigs is 1.5 EUR, but maybe it ain't cheaper than in Bosnia :)

a road trip beats anything anyway if you're with your friends, the location doesn't even matter

Dubai
or
Mamaia (kudos beach 1 may) - a lot of marketers are going here each year (including me)

Depends what sort of holiday you're after mate, sun and heat then I'd go on this one;

A couple of nights in Dubai, then fly down to Bangkok for 4 or 5 nights, followed by a few days down in Koh Samui.

Return trip have another couple of nights back in Dubai.

Go to Greece dude ! Kefalonia, Lefkada, Corfu, Halkidiki, Myrtos, Mikonos ... all great places :)

^ Reminds me of the Lake Ariana in Sofia, Bulgaria
Chilling place.

A few days ago I saw a photo of a place in Germany that looks like it could be nice little quiet getaway. Hire a Canoe and cruise the canals.
Might be an age thing but am considering it. Looks relaxing and I think I could chill out. Plenty of German Beer and and a nice bit of German Sausage.

I'm also thinking about going the German Sausage Festival in October, sorry I mean beer festival.

Seriously, I am planning at least a week of walking with and enjoying the real nature around my own beautiful little town! And without being on the PC for a week! And enjoying the company of known and unknown real-life people! Hadn't done that for some while now!

At least one such bright sunny lovely day, and then mingling with some sweet chirpy people, and it will make my life!

Having an overdose of daily TV, tensions, Net browsing, and worrying about every thing... some months back, I had seen many butterflies and little cute birds flying around in my little garden -- got to check out if they still come there.... oh I've become such a miserable me lately! :(

I also vote for Thailand. It is really affordable, they have great food and interesting nightlife.

I would suggest you to go to Bulgaria for 5 days and then to Greece which is close. You can go to Sunny Beach if you wish to party and drink nice beer. If you prefer the comfort of the silence then I would suggest Albena. 300KM away is the capital and 200km is the second largest city Plovdiv where I live. Interesting fact is that the city is the fourth oldest (forbes) and it's really beautiful. The beer is cheap in Plovdiv - 0.60$ for a bottle. On Sunny Beach and Albena it's a bit more expensive but given your budget, it's almost free :D. There are airports in Bourgas ( close to the sea ), Sofia and Plovdiv so you can easily go to Greece in few hours. As I said, it's extremely cheap, beautiful and the people are kind and welcoming. Plus, if you come to Plovdiv we can go to drink a beer or two :D
