What I notice on market place is that every time i post anything a little bit unconformable about some service then seller contact me pretty fast asking how can he help and "pleas edit your comment". No one say that to get problem fixed you have to edit your post but it is kind a implied. And some services I actually like very much i ask some simple questions like why order is late nothing like don't buy from this guy this is "*****".

And many of you may notice how little negative comments most sells treads have and after this experience with 3-4 sellers i think this may be bigger problem since sells thread are to build confidence to service and how you can be confident if sellers basically bribe every one to remove any negative comments.

If seller contact you and fix problem then you can post this in next comment but i believe that people should be able to see there where a problem and he fixed it.

I think this is at list unethical and should be forbidden. To avoid such situations I suggest removing option to edit post in market place after 5 minutes of posting.

You are allowed to post your opinion on the service. That's how other members who are interested knows is it any good. There is really so many sellers here and we have to rely on each other to see if we are gonna buy it or not so, just post your opinion. I believe that there is a lot of really bad services here and if would be really stupid if we had to try all of them just to test. No one can force you to edit your post (exception - false posts, swearing, insults...).

I left quite a good post here, but then realised I was answering a completely different question because I didn't read the OP.

OP, I think it is ethical for a comment to be edited. If the seller resolved the problem why should they have a bad review when the issue is fixed.

Human error happens, don't hold it against them forever when the problem is fixed.

That's retarded. The decent thing to do would be to contact them and offer them a chance to fix shit before you comment anyway.

Ste Fishkin but wouldn't be better for community if they see there where problem and that seller react fast and fix it? This way seller menage his reputation and he is honest to his clients. How is it a problem if the problem has gone?

You could adjust your post to suit this:
"I had a problem, contacted the seller and it was solved in 3 hours. Great work, good product blah blah blah"

I don't think it's dishonesty on the sellers part to ask for good feedback when a problem has been solved.

well, if the seller resolved the issue for the buyer i don't see a reason why the comment shouldn't be edited.

they should probably disclose that they had an issue at first and the seller fixed it.

i also don't see how that's a bribe, that's EXACTLY what sellers should do - fix the problems their buyers face.

also, the buyers shouldn't whine each time they have a small issue with the order, you have a problem? CONTACT THE SELLER FIRST!

i promise you that it's in their best interest to keep their costumers happy, if the issue is not resolved you are welcome to leave a negative comment on their BST thread.

Ok maybe i put that wrong way all sellers that contacted me with such claim ask to completely edit out that there ware problem. I don't see anything bad per say with adding edit to post that problem was fixed but editing out that there ware actual problem is not ok. And with editing closed you can easily ad comment in next post that problem was fixed but you cannot erase problem and that what all sellers wanted me to do some even ask to replace it with review written by them.

that's a separate issue, and i agree with you on that.

i actually appreciate comments that mention they had a problem and that the seller fixed it, that shows that the seller takes care of his costumers.

you should really be skeptical of BSTs with only positive comments, there's no such thing as a perfect service, and that's OK as long as the sellers solves that issues that come along the way.

if a service is bad, and you are contacted by the seller to change the comment and you do it you are a bad person and you dont deserve a cockie for lie to the other bhw users.

Editing the post is fine but it should only be done AFTER the issue is resolved. If a seller is saying they won't solve the problem unless you change your post, they don't deserve a good review.

Basically, if you find yourself in this situation, you should do the following:

Contact the seller by PM, clearly outlining your issues and stating what you want the seller to do to resolve the problem.

Then, if you do not get a proper response or attempt to sort this out within a reasonable time (3 days is a good general rule), you should contact them and let them know you will take it further if they do not respond.

You are allowed to leave ONE negative review on the sales thread. You can be as detailed as you like but it's important you stay factual and do not post personal information or abuse.

Sellers should provide the service they promise in the sales thread, regardless of any reviews. If they hold your money hostage to fake a review, then they should be shitlisted.

Apricot in generally I agree but when let say seller teals edit out your bad review to good review and i refund you 300 USD many people will bend. Maybe removing edit isn't right way to solve that problem but i believe there is problem that need to be solved and that was easiest way i see to solve it. And honestly i don't think shitlist is right way to solve this i personal never look at it and 99% people also don't

It's trial and error, there's few threads which have negative reports.

It depends on the type or service and the problem;

1) If as an example I order a couple of MNS sites and 4 weeks later still been sat waiting for the sites to be completed, what is the best way to resolve this ?

You go to the seller and ask what the fuck is going on and see what the reply / excuse is. What really does make my piss boil is when they come back with a shitty lame excue about they had a problem and couldn't work on the site(s) you have bought, yet a simple browse on the forum ( BHW/WF or where it may be ) sees them touting for even more business, then it is clearly obvious they are taking on far too much work without being able to complete paid for orders.

2) Had I bought seo service and suddenly my site tanks and never bounces back, then I think that there is a good reason for negative feedback, but only as long as this service was the only seo work being done on the site at the time, otherwise it's difficult to prove which service caused the problem.
If there was just 1 seller working on seo, I'd expect them to rectify the problem to get the site back to where it was and improve it, as a simple refund wouldn't cover the extra work required in all probability.

3) Third scenario - buying keywords, if you don't know what you're doing then high search figures will look attractive. However if you do know a bit about keyword research, but only buy to save time and aren't happy with the one delivered, then speak to the supplier and sort it out.


This being the case though, last thing you want is a reputation of being a crybaby bitch and a serial refund claimer. Buyers should expect the product / service they are buying as described, sellers have a responsibility to ensure they can deliver within acceptable timescales a product that works and is fit for purpose.

I have no problem with leaving negative feedback, as long as it is a true representation of the service. To this end I keep all PMS and emails, so I can produce these if called upon. I will give the seller opportunity to correct the issues and if the site is late, I expect extra working doing to compensate.
If the issues are corrected to my satisfaction, then the feedback would be neutral, but would refer to the issues ( eg. slow communication, poor results, site delivered late ) encountered .

Best way as a buyer to avoid issues is to set out a criteria of what you want and expect BEFORE you order, the seller will either agree or not. If you're wanting the site finished within 10 days, tell them before you buy.

Sellers - don't take on more work than you can handle, it's easier to look after your existing customers for repeat orders than it is to find new customers.
