Newbie with some newbie questions

Hey everyone!

I have a few questions.

But what I have going on:

Just dipped into the IG side of things. Started two accounts: a mens fashion with about 450 followers and a specific animal niche with about 400 followers. I use Follow Liker for the animal account and Instagress for the fashion. On both accounts, I post about 2-3 photos per day from my iPhone. The fashion account gets roughly only 15-25 likes per picture.. Which I am unsure why, as I follow IG's accounts's followers that are the same niche. And the animal account averages about 30-50 likes per post.

Some questions.

1.) "Proxies". I've been lurking around BHW for a while now and i'm not really sure exactly 100% what proxies are. How do I use them? How do I apply them to certain accounts? Am I able to sign into each IG account on my iPhone to post content like normal or do I have to disable the proxy to do this? And also, I read that a user should use 3 accounts per 1 proxy. However I only find packages of like 10+ proxies and if i'm only wanting to do 3-5 accounts right now all I would need is 1 or 2 proxies correct?

2.) In the future if I want to promote teespring campaigns via IG what is the best way to do this? I heard that if you type a teespring URL anywhere in IG its automatic perma ban. Just curious.

3.) When it comes to unfollowing users, should I do a week of following, and then a week or half a week of unfollowing? (through Follow Liker). I read in numerous posts that you shouldn't follow and unfollow on the same day. Just wondering how people do this part of their setup.

Yes i've searched the forums for it. People are saying that you can post direct links in each post, redirect masked links to the teespring campaign, or have a link in your bio. But other people are saying NOT to do any of those methods. Just curious what successful teespringers have done. I know how to use teespring, I have been successful with it via Twitter and Facebook, but I have never tried IG and i'm looking for the safest method, but seems like there isn't one for IG.

to me its simple - just put teespring.com/yourshirt in the bio, and direct people to it.
i dont believe in masking links other than for tracking purposes, not for a second! IG is not that dumb and they are not sitting there all day waiting to ban you. (funny thing on the tumblr forum, people keep talking about proxies and bans, while i made up to $7k/mon without ever using using a proxy.)

i've only tried teespring once without selling anything. some people successfully sold shirts on IG with hundreds of thousands of followers. i still dont quite understand how followers can sell you shirts... (i tend to think visitors do.)

7k/month without using a proxy, were you running the accounts on bots the whole time and were you using more than 3 accounts on the same IP? I'm going to probably stick around 5 accounts at the most so i'm starting to think a proxy isn't needed for my small projects.

that was tumblr. i run 20 accounts on 1 ip (total of 45 on 3 ip). i use my own custom automation.
IG is obviously different. so far i am up to 4 accts on 1 ip. i have yet to make a real penny on IG.
