My failed experiment with PBN

Well you left a footprint somewhere so google knew it was a PBN therefore you didn't get any ranking benefits.

It could have been the hosting or the way to registered the domains, its hard for us to know for sure.

Why be cheap and pay only $1 for hosting of a $100 domain.

get some real hosts.

I would assume your sites' content was just not worth it for Googlebot.

Alright guys. What's with the different email addresses? You mean different email addresses for buying domains? I didn't know it matters because I've bought private whois for all of them.

Should I create a different account for registering each domain?

I've always suspected the cheap hosting and it might be one of the reasons for this fail as well.

I've bought the content from legit sources, articles passed the Copyscape. And I have never used Chrome for making my PBN, I used Mozilla and I have never logged in to my Google account through it, I was extra cautious about that.

If it is a private whois then the email should not be a problem. However it is recommended that some of your PBN domains should be registered without a private whois. (Just think about it, all the domains linking to your site are private)

What? Either you are in the niche where you didn't really check the competition and that's why your sites don't budge or you are doing something wrong with your PBN. I had PBN with a lot lower metrics and ranked on #1 for low competition niches.
If possible, can you share your metrics? How much you willing to pay for the 1 hosting?
I'm about to build my first PBN too. Is Namecheap a good hosting provider? They seem legit and have the $10/year hosting though.

there's a course for PBN .. you can check that out .. just google it.. PNB is difficult and you gotta be becareful

First of all why the hell you are paying 80$ for a domain? logically you can invest this money into a custom scraper and find unlimited domains, do not waste so much in the beggining. Every cent matters, use coupons, fake info (private whois is not required).

Next, it looks like you did everything right and beyond but still got 30% deindextion rate doesn't make sense.
You left some footprint somewhere, maybe using the same registar account, maybe same email for all, maybe interlinked between your blogs?

I suggest you to recheck your steps and compare them to the "advanced" tutorials here about how to build a PBN, I guess you missed something.

One last thing, do not use Chrome when working with the PBN.

Good luck, don't give up it will work next time or next time ;)

1) I agree. He shouldn't be spending $80 per domain. That's way too much.
2) You can't use a scraper to find the domains he's finding. Scraper will find expired domains. His are not dropped yet.
3) If you do use a scraper to find expired domains, your penalized domains rate will still be about 20% no matter what you do.

He's not going to get his answer by reading tutorials in here. I don't know why people in here are always giving this bad advice. The OP didn't miss anything. I think his main issue is that he trusted the "trust flow" as some sort of proof of a good domain.

Main reason I think of why his indexed domains got de-indexed was because Google didn't see any activity on them for a while after they were set up.

Were you blocking crawlers?

Did you add them to different GWT accounts to see if some have been penalized in the past?

How many ref domains on average?

Did you use any SEO hostings?

What wrong with expired domains? as long as they have strong and clean backlink profile and clean history they are awesome.
And where did you find this 20% number? My de-indextion rate is much lower for domains that I have for more than a year now, it is not black and white you have to understand that.

I told him to check the tutorials because he maybe missed some obvious step that I didn't remember either, not because those tutorials are super advanced.

By the way I never talked about the ranking impact, just about the de-indextion rate.
I don't think Google de-index domain just because it has low activity, well it never happend to me yet so you probably left some other footprint or might be just bad luck - as I said it is not black and white.

20% penalized. Not de-indexed. Dropped domains start as de-indexed. And yes, low to no activity or really bad content can get your domain de-indexed.

Bro listen... Cheap hostings are not problem I use all them already few years for hosting PBN domains off course,.. I don't know does anyone who have more than 30 domains buy some really good hosting for them... I have about 60 and for all hosting is about 15-30$ per year... its already lets say 20x60 and domain renew lets say same 20x60 its 2400$ per year just for this and how much would it be If I use some "better" hostings....
Problem is DONT USE FOR ALL DOMAINS PRIVATE WHOIS! Believe me bro!! For all domain use just different whois with different email address its must do! most of big networks in last years got deindexed which all has private whois...
Next step send some social signals to those domains if there is none...
And don't listen to people that you pay too much I pay approx that money to... from 50$ to 500$
Most here just look for stupid metrics, fu*k metrics look for good links, from good domains, etc...
Do all this and you will be safe even you will safe few bucks on those private whois ... if really wanna to use them use but on 30% od domains not to all!
If need some more help be free to PM me...
I see just one your problem here, how you didn't get good improvements from those domains... You should get good results in just few weeks... I rank a lot with even high competition keywords with less than 10 PBN links... Use cheap links for diversity and then with PBN links go with main keywords anhors and you should rank easy.

What is "high competition" for you? can u say longtail pro keyword competitor number please

What cheap links do you use and where from? do you do related anchors and url anchors with ur cheap links and with the pbn domains use exact keyword anchors?

If 30% of your domains got de-indexed you should reevaluate your approach to building PBNs...

Well I don't use any software to chk competitions but I have install now just to chk and for one website that I ranked on first page first domain have 65 keyword competition number. I chk competition manually, chk domains/pages on first page.. there links, social signals, domain age, authority etc... For example some of high competition I was think when rank some of best ClickBank products in health niche etc...
For second question I buy some web 2.0 and from PBN I put one main keyword as anchor and one URL as anchor for example. And its good to put some link to some other authority website or wiki...
If need something else PM your skype id or just ask here just is easier when I have time to talk on skype.
