when it got hit it was nasty, it was about jan 2013, we knew google was all over it, it took them about 3 months in waves to find it all and deindex the domains. We turned off all the content as soon as a site was hit, and then told the clients what happened. After closing it down, I rebuilt it (the CMS and the management system) adding in a bunch of new features so that the sites would appear to be real sites. After about 3 months relaunched it but in a much better way than ever before, though the damage was done and we lost about half the clients who thought it would be too risky to continue, that said we have been clean since. the quality is so high now that its almost impossible to see its a network.

no, only they have the links that are monitised

yes
Dow many domains per registrar account?
no more than about 10

i dont post here for clients and dont need to learn anything from others here

At what you look when choosing a domain for a PBN ?
mostly im looking for high trust (edu, gov etc. backlinks), does not have to have much to be valuable

some more history, i think we had the one of the first link networks ever, i started it in 2008, im not aware of any others around that time, but there maybe others here who know better. it used to drive me nuts buying links of dodgey link sellers who sold cack and all were selling non contextual links, back then is when i stopped building apps and started developing in the SEO space, the CMS I use today for management of the links and articles, writers etc. The CMS has become much more advanced over the years. I think without such a thing it would be impossible for most others to get into, hence why when most people sell such services they do it all from behind closed doors. As they wouldn't be able to show you the backends etc, as they are so rough or iffy that it wouldn't inspire confidence. I think this is the biggest hurdle for anyone to over come if they want to build their own. You could try and use wordpress but it would be a nightmare of logins and logouts to manage the content, plus it wouldnt offer any special features dedicated to SEO. For example ours manages the small team who work around it, so that everyone is always on the same page. There is no one asking what do you want me to do now, its all managed.

How clients find you? i used spam to known link buyers to start with, since then word of mouth, never advertised.

Something that has always confused me about pbns is that you say you have 500ips. Does this mean that you have 500 proxies you use to access and make changes to the websites or does it mean you have created 500 different accounts with registrars and hosts resulting in them giving the site a new ip every time.
