I would just like to know if it is still possible so I know whether to keep trying or throw in the towel.

Any specifics regarding not getting banned would be welcome but that is a bonus :) mainly asking for the sake of not squandering my time on a lost cause since I really have to prioritise my time.

I spent last two months remaking my bot however I have gotten mass banned and probably all my remaining accounts flagged. So I want to get an idea whether my previous hard work could work with a few minor alterations. If others are still botting successfully then I'll know it can still be done.

For me I'm not concerned with group boards. Always just built my own following up.

Are you doing anything else besides follow, such as pin/repin, like, etc.?

Yes ofc.

I repin mostly and post my own link only now and then.

I don't do liking simply because I forgot about that so I will add that in thanks for reminding.

I wouldn't be surprised if they added a filter for that - I mean editing repins and adding links in the description.

I have 3 batches of Pinterest accounts. 28 accounts for each batch.
What I do is like / follow / repin the first batch for 4 days. Then stop and do the same for 2nd batch, and stop again, and do the same for the 3rd batch. I think that this way, these accounts won't seem to be spammy. All of these are not banned yet.

Interesting. Maybe it is some other flag due to either my proxies or the accounts were already flagged somehow.

I am still avoiding pinterest for a little while though since it is so crushing I can't bear another failure in such a short time. I need to rebuild my self esteem in my other projects before daring to try again.

Can you guys share how -and how often- you insert your affiliate link and do you use free blogs or paid domain?

I used to spam pinterest using blogspot sites then repinning and changing their URLs to mine. I was repinning 10 - 25 pins and posting 10 pins from my sites per day per account. Unfortunately, blogspot deleted my blogs because of spam. So now I used a paid domain.

Spamming pinterest is getting hard these days. I only use automation on my accounts to gain some authority and be able to join group boards. Now I am trying to pin articles from my site to group boards at least 2-3 pins per board per day.

Agree. Groupboards are the way to go with Pinterest. Smart feed and auto filters are wrecking common spam methods. So take it like a man and blend in as a woman. Work with at least a few dozens pics (best if original) and a couple of domains. Get approved for rich pins. Join as many groupboards in your niche. Make as many groupboards you can manage across multiple accounts each with its own ip. Pin/repin/follow/engage consistently (that's where botting comes in).

Analyze how a pic becomes viral. I'm still figuring this one out. Best I can do is have many pics to work with (numbers' game). But the common traits include taller-than-wider dimension, orange/yellow/reddish primary colors with light background. I'm still unsold on using overlayed text in pictures that many are recommending, though I still make images with them.

This is the analytics of my latest one. The site is not new (>4 mo's). It has over 100 images already pinned. I did not install analytics until after Jan 19, 2016 because traffic had been so low (<100/day). But once I felt that a couple of images were about to go viral, I installed analytics. One of the pics did. The uptick is all from one image with no overlay.

Now, I'm playing around with monetizing. CB has been great as a banner, 1 sale/day in weight loss. Adsense at $10/day.

Hope this helps. And remember, groupboards are your friends.
