Hello dear BHW members, so I have an amazon niche websites and I have already placed my affiliate links in my reviews.

If I were to add a "store/shop" page to the website and list all the amazon products that I have reviewed on there with additional amazon affiliate links do you think I would be getting penalized by Google for having possibly too many affiliate links? What are your thoughts on this? Thanks.

I really don't know. But Seo wise, i won't advice you to try it. Since there are several other websites offering more words and lesser links, they might rank higher than you.

What if I block the affiliate urls in robots.txt from the crawlers?

"<a href="http://www.yoururl/recommended/amazonniche/" rel="nofollow">amazonniche</a>" ---< that

I have done similar on one of my websites and it gets good traffic and conversions. I would not advise you put affiliate links to each product all on one page. A new page with links to each review will work good. I made a "reviews" sub domain and it has paid off handsomely. A page with out much info besides a bunch of affiliate links to each product will not work well for long, I have tried it.

So what you're saying as long as I have some content with affiliate links I'll be good? Also how many affiliate links would you personally have? I wont have more than 30 with my current strategy and that is why I wanted some advice on how I could add a couple more, I feel like 30 isn't enough, this is my first amazon niche site so theres a lot of things I dont know about. Once I start ranking for these keywords I plan on writing more content about niche related items so in the end I should be somewhere near 100-150 review articles, so it is fine if I go with a 1:1 ratio with the affiliate links? At first I was thinking about adding links to all the images as well however someone said it is a very bad idea lol.

You can't have a page filled with affiliate links and expect to rank. If you have one page with links to your various reviews and have affiliate links in each article you'll be fine. 2-3 affiliate links per 500 words of content is safe. "adding links to all the images as well" on one page will get you slapped by google almost for certain.

I started an review site with amazon links 3 weeks ago. I have 6 review articles with 10 products on each page, content wise, I have 1500 to 2400 words on each article with anything from 10 to 30 amazon links. I've taken teh prices off, but linked to each colour and size, maybe too many links?

I'm page 3 for one of the main keywords and long tail stuff page 2 or 3.

Hmm i've read conflicting views on this. Is there actually any proof out there that having say 10 links per 500 word article will fuck you up? Any case studies? I remember reading a nichepersuits article but i'm sure he had a ridiculous amount.

Edit: yeah, he had around 100 on one page, not surprising that it was overkill.

When comparing the amazon niche site and other site for affiliate links are most different. when u using the amazon they can remove u more over in a certain month and also cost wise it is higher. so go with other providers it will be cheap and u get more rank in that. so my suggestions is go with another one. but i think u got the amazon, u can make a more thing.

Google will not give penalty for these much links. I hope you know that where could we be provided.. Reviewers will like the site if its having proper links. Just make link on product keyword and images.

My personal idea:

You dont mention price of your article for product.

Just do like:

(..............................................
........................................
content..............................
.........................................
...........................................
...........................................)
To know the (various price)<a href=amazon product link)

I 100% sure 90% people will click this link.

All the best
