Subdomain questions

I just got a nice .info that will virtually fit well with any sub domain name.
I plan on using it on many different campaigns. I have two questions regarding this.

First, if one of my subdomain get sandboxed, those that affect my main domain and my other subs?

Next, does a subdomain 'name' has any impact on seo? example sex.mydomain.info?

As far as I know, .com is better than .info.
Why don't you work with .com instead?
I reckon one subdomain does not affect the other, but I would not bet on this.

Becuse .info are at $.99 at this moment, also I don't think the people I will be dealing with will look or care if it's .info or .com

internet urban myth that one top level domain is 'better' than the other! I have several .info , .net , a few .org , and several .co.cc and NOT being a .com has no affect or effect that I can see.

as far as getting a subdomain 'sandboxed' ? and will it affect the primary and the other subdomains?

no direct info there, BUT it would seem likely that there would be some negative affect because other domains hosted on the same IP can have a negative affect on all of the other domains...SO it will make sense that a subdomain which is directly connected would affect the primary domain and the other subs.

maybe best to try and NOT get 'sandboxed'

Well, a lot of rumour has it that Google devalues .info because they're so cheap to buy and were therefore used to launch masses of SPLOGs etc.

In regards to the subdomain, from what I've read, the answer is no, it won't devalue your main domain as long as your main domain DOESN'T link off to the spammy subdomains AND your main domain looks legit.

The reasoning being that places like blogspot and any free hosts have a gazillion sub-domains and if they were penalised for anyone who put spammy content up, no-one would ever stand a chance as a freehost etc.
