His post was not an insult. His post was a denial of your ludicrous request for free design work, which was funny, because asking for free work on the offtopic section of a marketing forum is lol-worthy... but not too bad.

If you join this forum and begin asking for free work, you're going to get negative responses from the members. His comment wasn't directed at you as a person necessarily, but you as a member of this forum. If you had been on this forum longer and helped other members during this time, more people would've felt inclined to help you out.

Just to clear something up, I honestly couldn't give a damn about OP's "Africa" comment. Sure, that's where I'm from, and if that's the best comment OP can make when faced with criticism towards his selfish behaviour, then I can only feel sorry for him. Does it offend me? The reason I made the post I did, was because OP came in here asking for free stuff and then got all upset and threw his toys out the pram when people told him "no".

Perspective. You thought of his comment as an interrogation, I saw it as McPatrick making the points I had illustrated in my previous post in the form of rhetorical questions.

Here's a tip, though: Check out the Freebies / Giveaways section here on Black Hat World next time. Every now and then, someone will offer to do logo designs for free. In fact, there are a couple of logo freebies going on right now.
