Is it reliable to give your proper full name to blackhat community adminstrators?

Just curious. There are lots of blackhat seo websites that have VIP subforums and they ask your full name when you make a payment for becoming a VIP member. Anyway, almost any money transfer system (paypal, western union, etc.) will give your (sender's) name to receiver, while you at the same time can transfer money just by email that receiver can tell you. Though, most of (really great) forums tell you the receiver's full name and location, and you can also make a bank transfer.

The question is: is it safe to use your real full name, when you pay for VIP membership? I can't remember any anonymous money transfer system except Bitcoin and similar. Just interesting if I should be awared of this.

I believe when you make such membership, you are going to be a good guy (part of that forum), so generally you should feel safe, if you are not going to break the forum rules. But what about forum admininstator's - should I treat them as a "good guys", while they will know my full name?

Sounds like a kind of paranoic question But while this is BlackHat part of the world, you should expect anything, or actually not?

I'm pretty sure the admins here can see my legal name, pen name (technically a name change by usage until I get it legally changed), age, and other details I haven't publicly shared on the Internet if they wanted to, yet it hasn't caused any issues for me.

If it's really an issue, why not just use a pseudonym?

Thanks for the answer! Actually not, I've not done anything wrong or suspicious that should be the reason to hide from anyone in internet. The reason is that I prefer to maintain personal anonymity, if it is possible. And basically you can really keep it, until it comes to payment process. I've never thought about it, when I was paying in e-shops, transfering money to the person I really know, paying for software license or any service I used. This is the first time I've decided to ask myself and the community, but now I'm mostly thinking that it should be fine, because it's also kind of service, just not so usual as it was earlier.

As for about pseudonym - you can't hide your real name from money processing system and receiver also should compare if he receive money from me and not from someone else, that's the reason why they are asking, I guess.

Even if you do not share your name with forum admins, but still if you buy a premium membership and pay with any major payment processors you end up sharing a lot. Anyhow,, as long as you are not going illegal with anything why to worry ?

As long as you aren't discussing anything illegal then there is no problem and discussing something illegal on a public forum is asking for trouble anyway.
If you are asking if BHW is OK then I am pretty sure your details are safe, if you are asking if Charles Floate's BH Forum is safe then that is another matter.

Thanks for replies! Now I'm really feeling safe. And it looks it's even better to use real full name in case if there could be any money transfer problems. I believe in this case PayPal is the best service or bank transfer also, but it takes longer.

What I'm going to discuss is SEO methods, strategies, CPA, software/tools and etc. The only problems I believe I can have are ranking websites in search engines and banned accs in social networks because of usings bots (maybe also kind of problems with using copyrighted content on my sites, but I believe it should rarely happen..)
Seems like nothing really illegal/criminal, just normal practise that every SEO/SMM person faces every day.

You won't be able to join BHW VIP until you have been a member for 3 months and made 100 quality posts.
