[QUESTION] Selling your stuff online

Im about to create my own website where i will sell my stuff. Ex: mobile,tv,tablets...
Do i need to register my company officially? I mean to go to government and register my website there?
I dont know this is called.

Any advice would be helpful

You won't need to register if you're just selling a few unwanted items occasionally.

It depends on where you are living. For me, you should register if you are serious on building the branding and your business is generating adequate revenue. But in the initial phase, I think you can skip it.

If u use a personal PayPal account to accept payments, it will show your name, not a company name. Is this is a concern, u would definitely need a registered company to open a paypal merchant account.

in that case you'll definitely need to be a business and you need to pay taxes, you'll need a tax number and what not, i'm pretty sure that you'll find guidelines on your tax agency's site, if not, there will be a number, call them

you said that you want to sell YOUR stuff, i think everyone here assumed, that you want to sell a few used items of yours and not 10k+ worth monthly

1. website with 10k+ earnings monthly selling stuff, does or does not need to be business.
will i have problems with crime if i do not sign up as business?

as i already told you above, if you want to sell that much worth of stuff, you need to be a business by the book, you don't want to sell just occasionally, but you want to sell regularly, making a habit out of it, that's commercial scale in any country and nobody is a wizard here to be able to tell you that what will happen if you don't open a business and don't pay taxes, but something tells me that you'd be caught, because i highly doubt that you'd be able to make $120k+ a year disappear from the eyes of the authorities

try to speak to someone who either already done this or have some knowledge, because the process varies by country

If you need to ask questions like that better get a professional tax advice. It cost peanuts comparing to what they can save you.
