Question about french market/traffic.

Hey there!

I'm a french-speaking person and i'm looking for some information about the french market.
I know the seo basics and i currently own an english website but i'm unmotivated because i can't really make some nice and long professional-looking articles. My english is decent but when i'm typing an article, i'm losing a lot of time. It's way easier for me to type in french.
I plan to make a viral website (adsense) and some micro niche sites (amazon.fr etc...). I'm not really good at english keyword research and maybe it's easier in french. What do you think?
I'm looking from advice about the french market (especially from experienced people). Do you think it's as "easy" to make money as the us/uk traffic? Should i stick to the us traffic?

No problem, French market is OK. You may not get as much traffic as english market but like you said you can produce way more content, and also make it more persuasive (as it's you're first language) so it's easier to sell.

Plus competition is weaker, it's more easy to rank keywords than on google.com or co.uk.

There's not many IM'ers in France as there are a select offers.
However the market is unsaturated and presents alot of opportunity if you can do translations

Go with writing french content instead of wasting time on english content. You can find many FR niches which doesn't have much competition and try to rank for them. It's sure that 1TPE (a sort of french clickbank) has very crappy offers (you see the landing pages, you scream and you cry).

This caught my eye as we have literally just launched our first french product on clickbank 2 days ago and previous to that we had been doing a lot of market research on the french market. According to a 2014 report, 72% of the french population regularly shops online and what we found was that although search volumes are less than the english equivalent, the competition is much, much less (at least in the niche we are looking at).

For example, for some kws we looked at, the search volumes were 1/11 of the english equivalent but the competition was 1/53! Similarly, CPCs were much lower (you can see the kws I'm talking about here).

So yes, the french market can be VERY profitable (and easier to profit from than the english market) if you do your research.

Well, i have no idea about the niche, it's my biggest issue. I like the pets niche (especially dogs) but it's saturated i think and i don't know if i can really make good money with it.
I'd like to try cpa but again... i don't know which niche to pick.

And what about the french viral website? Do you think it's a waste of time?

I have been working in the french market and this is true that you have less competition but it does not mean competition does not exist so you have to work hard to get to the top
