Trust Flow Tanked??? Why?

I have been building links to a fairly new'ish domain (now it's about 3 months old). I just checked my TF today and it dropped down to the single digits, where before it was close to 30. I have been building links with high metrics to the site. My rankings haven't fallen though.

Does anyone know why this happens and if this is a bad sign?

Why are you so worried about trust flow? Trust flow means nothing, and Majestic's crawler obviously found some links that got deleted, that Google already knew about. There data isn't always current.

Moral of the story, there are a ton of reasons but you shouldn't be so worried about trust flow.

I read an article that said majestic crawls less than half of what Google crawls.. So, TF shouldn't be a factor to be considered about..

It's possible you chucked in a different version of the site url - (with or without www. makes a big difference).

The above comments are right though, TF is wildly inaccurate. None of the other metrics tools are 100% accurate (how could they be) but Majestic is just awful at crawling and indexing links.

Be more worried about your rankings than your trust flow.

These 3rd party metrics aren't ranking factors, so as long as your rankings haven't dropped, I wouldn't worry about it.

Majestic's index is absolutely horrible and its metrics shouldn't be used as any indication of your site's strength.

I have seen sites with hundreds of high quality backlinks from great sites (think CNN, CBS Local, etc.) that get no love from Majestic because their crawler hasn't seen the links. Then there are small sites with awful backlinks that get great TF/CF metrics. Focus on the metrics that actually have some meaning (like where your site is ranking for the keywords you care about) and you will waste far less time on these third-party metrics that are totally meaningless.

There are lots of situations where links in ahrefs dont show in majestic. Why people follow Majestic so blindly is beyond me.

They follow Majestic metrics blindly because everybody and their mother is looking for high TF PBN domains these days. And I say this as an PBN domain seller.


And I like it this way because I get to keep the real gems out there.

To avoid losing TF i believe and read somewhere you need to add the same content & URL structure as that of the earlier site which was dropped before you bought it
