Anyone Having Issues Keeping Prime Accounts Open?

Hey BHW,

Amazon to eBay DS'er here. We've been doing this for about 8 months with success. The first couple of months we had no issues with Prime Accounts, they were lasting and getting 5k-7k items out of them. The 2nd couple of months it seemed like we were going through a Prime Account every month. These last few months it has turned into weeks and the last few weeks it has turned into days. We Cannot Keep Them Open!!!

We used to always send items as gifts but for the past few accounts we have only been using the gift option for items that we have high margins on. We used to use Verizon Jet Pack Hot Spots to run the Prime Accounts but have since switched to VPNs. This is getting very frustrating and could potentially hurt the business if we don't get it figured out!

If anyone could offer some advice as to how they manage/run their Prime Accounts it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The DS'ers I know always sell on multiple prime and ebay accounts at a time. You can't risk starting from scratch every time you lose an account.

Amazon sends emails stating:

"We're writing to you because we have concerns regarding the ordering behavior on your Amazon.com account with an Amazon Prime membership. The shipping activity by you or your invitees is similar to patterns we've seen when Amazon Prime is used for reselling (as described in our Terms & Conditions. This e-mail is a courtesy notice, and no action is being taken at this time. We encourage you to continue using your Amazon Prime Membership according to our Terms & Conditions"

This is their usual warning email which is shortly followed by a suspension.

To address the 2nd comment:

We have multiple eBay accounts that we sell on but only 2 different Prime accounts. The one is fine so far but the other just got that email. (They were both opened a few days ago)

Is it viable / possible to use family / friends from different parts of the country to open accounts and go down that route ?

Honestly, the best way I have done it is using aged accounts. I am talking setting up 100 accounts to different parts of the country and get some low transactions to each one and fly below the radar. After a month or so you ramp it up.

It takes planning and spreading so each account only gets an order or so a day.

To add on to this, neighbors is another route a lot of people go. Anyone that trusts you enough to let you have an account that contains personal info.

It would make sense about the aged account idea. Because as I stated in the OP we got a few months out of the original accounts and ran many items through them (because they were aged). Any advice on how to open 100s of accounts across the country? Just do it with random addresses and names with different VPNs? Or is there a simpler route?

I don't mind the idea of using friends, family, neighbors, etc but I just don't want to have their prime accounts closed.

Also to ask another question. When you guys open your Prime Accounts are you paying upfront for the Prime Membership or doing the 30 Day Free Trial? Also are you sending all items as gifts or none at all?

How I did it (I had less accounts) was I went to USPS.com and UPS.com and also looked up mailing solutions for store with PO Boxes. Most will forward mail for you for free to. I would set up a Po Box, a PMB (Post Mail Box) or a mailing solution business will often have addresses in this format:

123 Main Street Unit 1A.

1A is really your box number but the mailbox solution store lists it as a unit. This gets around Amazon thinking all of the accounts are to a Po Box.

For mailing volume you can get some cheap boxes across the country for under 100. Looks completely legit. USPS requires ID, UPS and most smaller mailbox stores do not. So I just set up the dummy accounts which look like the real deal.

You can use a fake address. When I did that I looked for houses no one was living in. Detroit and some areas of New Orleans are great for that.

Use a different IP or VPS for each account and start SLOW. One purchase a week until you warm the account up.

After that you can order an item a day with no real issues.
