I have a old profile that looks spammy as hell with my real name i forgot about from 2010 on facebook and i keep clicking report to have the account removed from my real profile with my real name(same name on the account im trying to delete)

Well it has been weeks, does anybody have a similar experience and how did you resolve it.

(I have spent hours googling how to remove old facebook but all answers redirect to same bs that doesn't get it done.)

This is what you need to do. Search your local online obituary and find someone with a similar name to your own who died between 2010 and 2016 (bonus points if they're around your age). Next, go to Facebook's "Special Request for Deceased Person's Account" and fill it out with the following information:

  • Your Full Name: Enter the name of your mother or father.
  • Full name on the deceased person's account: self-explanatory.
  • Account email address of the deceased person: Either use the email address you signed up with or create one with your name in it.
  • Web address (URL) of the timeline: Copy and paste the URL of your timeline by visiting it from a different account.
  • Relationship to the person: Select "Immediate family (spouse, parent, sibling, child)"
  • How can we help you: Select "Please remove this account". Do not memorialise it!
  • When did the person pass away: Put the year from the obituary.
  • Additional information: Submit the link to the obituary page and then hit the "Send" button.

Wait about 3 weeks and Facebook should remove the page for you.

In hindsight, I should have left that part out and replaced it with "take a screenshot of the obituary page" or something else that doesn't involve legal documents. I'll ask a moderator to edit that part out or delete the post shortly to prevent anyone from landing themselves in legal hot water.
