All right. I have discussed before how to rank for newbies, how I set up PBN domains, and some other fun tips thrown in. What am I going to do today? I am going to give you my EXACT Pumper Web 2.0 creation strategy which helps me RANK EASILY. No bull. No lying. Nothing hidden. Unlike other posts about this topic, I will never, and I repeat NEVER sell a service about creating these links.
Why? These are HARD to build. They take time and energy. Too much energy for me to ever do for someone on BHW. But I do use these for clients and my own personal sites. This will be the cheapest and yet most effective way to rank a site under medium competition you have ever seen. This is exactly what I do. Get ready for some hard work and great rankings.
Step One: Find your Web 2.0 properties
Unlike other Web 2.0 guides, this guide starts with an expired Web 2.0. Why expired? Well, when you build a new site, which is better, an aged domain or a brand new domain? Think about it for a minute. It makes more sense to use a property WITH some link juice and power already. This is an essential step to how I do things.
If you use a regular or new Web 2.0, you are missing out on some potential great link juice. If you are careful you can find an expired Web 2.0 with a couple dozen referring domains, a lot of link juice, great PA and Trust Flow, and other such metrics. I find properties with TF 10 + and PA 40 +. These are incredible links no matter how you cut it.
A warning, before you think that 40 + PA is amazing on your Web 2.0. Web 2.0s gain PA / DA quickly and more easily than regular websites. TF is a far more accurate tool to determine the quality of the Web 2.0.
Now, what Web 2.0s do you want to work with? Here is my PERSONAL list of the Web 2.0s I scrape and use most often. I may have left a couple off, but do not shoot me, I am giving you more than anyone else has:
1. Tumblr
2. Over - Blog
3. Blogspot
4. Webnode
5. Drupal Gardens
Here are five unique properties you can re - register and use.
Some are tricky, like Webnode, to re - register. This is good news for newbies because despite the fact other Web 2.0s are picked through, most SEOs can't get Webnode to work. I do not hear many people talk about my list except for Tumblr, so this should give you a leg up.
What are you looking for? If you can find a niche relevant one, GREAT! That is what you are aiming for if possible. Unlike domains where I get the best possible, for Web 2.0s I try to get a niche related one if possible. This is more important in later steps, but it does make a difference.
How do you get these expired properties?
Three ways work for me:
1. Buy them.
2. Use Domain Hunter Gatherer
3. Use Scrapebox
These three work the best for me. You may have other methods to scrape them, but I only want to share what I have actually used or done.
When you re - register these, make sure you use unique IP, unique email, and all that fun jazz. Make sure you also confirm the registration email.
Step Two: Prep the Web 2.0 Content
First thing first for these 'impressive' properties is I prepare the Key Word research for the Web 2.0. Yes, I do KW research for the Web 2.0.
I try to find some super obscure Key Words in my niche I will NEVER target on the money site. For example, in the auto niche I may find a long tail of 'Best fuzzy dice color for a Corvette'. I am looking for long tail KWs no one is going to target or use in my niche. Search volume 10 + is what I aim for. I want some phrase a couple people actually search for but no one would ever target. I want a few of these KWs for each Web 2.0 I make. In addition, I want to write one GENERIC article relating to the niche. I will get to the why later.
The point of this is, for every article I put on the Web 2.0 I want to rank for a key word within my niche. I tend to find I rank better doing this and this will ensure I have super niche relevant content. My next step with my Web 2.0 is to write content ranging in length for those KWs.
The content needs to be at least 200 words. Nothing fancy, but must be expertly written. I tend to write this content myself of use a HQ writer. This is not some cheap $1 article. I pay a couple cents per word to ensure this is great content. You do not need to, but I do because for these KWs I need them to be on topic and cheaper services just scrape and spin articles. The smart move is to just write a couple hundred words yourself and move on.
I like to limit the content to three to five articles. I never want my content to run off the home page.
I also add tags or categories when applicable and possible in the Web 2.0. You also need to add an about page, a contact page, and some other filler pages. Make your Web 2.0 look like a real website. I tend to like to add:
1. FAQ
2. Physical Location Page
3. Social Media Page
4. 'Why I built the site / started the site' Page
The point is, I add filler pages to make things look legit as possible. I flush this property out on new pages on the Web 2.0.
Once I have all this content written and all the filler pages set up, I post a piece of the content and schedule the other posts later on.
If I am using a Web 2.0 that allows quotes, pictures, videos or other shares I do that as well.
Step Three: Begin 'Pumping' the Web 2.0
You have a Web 2.0 with EXCELLENT stats, EXCELLENT content, and you should be ranking for these super easy long tail KWs. So far your Web 2.0 checks all of the boxes for most SEOs. Me? This is the difference between me and most SEOs.
I want to pump it up even more. I want to create a property that will make my client spit up his dinner and beg me for another. I also want the ranking power to even budge a Medium Competition KW with just a couple properties. What could I do in order to accomplish this?
1. Social Signals to each inner page and home page with unique content.
All social signals SHOULD be real signals and shares. You can find some on Fiverr or Source Market or SEO Clerks where you get several dozen real shares by real people for a couple bucks. This helps ensure everything is indexed fast and makes the Web 2.0 look like a real site.
2. Social Bookmarks to each inner page.
No magic here. A couple Bookmarks to ensure every page has some power, is indexed and doing well.
3. High TF / PA / PR Blog Comments
I want a couple real blog comments pointing to each inner page. These links pass a lot of juice, are cheap, and also ensures your pages index.
4. Cheap Press Release
A Press Release to a Web 2.0? You betcha. This single step adds all kinds of imaginary metrics such as 'Authority and Trust' to your web page. This is my assurance this rebuilt property will index. Little practical SEO value BUT clients love it and again, it has an indexing benefit because Google is slow to index now.
These four aforementioned points are my structural link building steps I do to each inner page and the home page. Total cost is under $20 if you outsource EVERYTHING (A Cheap PR can be purchased from Fiverr and serves your purpose).
After all this jazz I fire up my power links. I get a few dozen 301 URL shorteners and point them to the home page. I then BLAST them with some spam including: Contextual links, Blog Comments, Social Bookmarks, etc. I want volume and to add power. These 301 shorteners will vastly increase the strength of your Web 2.0 property.
You want your anchors for the spam sent to the 301's to target the respected long tail KW, the niche 'Health, Beauty, etc', your money site KW, and many LSI variants. Sprinkle in some generic and naked URLs for good measure.
Step Four: Add you link(s)
Now time for where I get sneaky. Remember that generic article I told you to write? You are going to link from this page to another page in your niche. Not your money site or your clients money site. But you are going to link to a page somewhere in your niche.
Most SEOs will link to an 'authority site' such as Wikipedia or CNN or some other place. What is the problem with this? Everyone does this and your competition is not stupid. I am less worried about Google and more worried about competition reporting my Web 2.0. So to confuse them and still link out to another site I drop a link to another niche relevant page I am not competitng against.
What works well are small businesses, other Web 2.0 pages, personal blogs, and other such pages not being worked on by a SEO and also not ranking against your for your KWs. You can skip this if you want, but I tend to find it beneficial for my peace of mind.
After I add aforementioned link I wait a couple weeks and drip in the remaining content. After a couple weeks I go back in and add my money site link in an article targetting one of those long tail KWs.
What is the end result?
This will be easily one of the strongest links you will ever get pointing to your website. Your rank will improve better than the vast majority of PBN links you can get or buy. Plus, for clients who like 'white hat' links, you will blow them away.
This takes a lot of work and a good bit of money but this type of Web 2.0 will move the needle on most Key Words you come across.
You will also notice a measurable increase in the metrics of the Web 2.0 and obviously the back link profile. The 301s, foundational links and the PR will make sure the Web 2.0 and your money site will get indexed rapidly and transfers a lot more power.
