I want to target some USA groups for my gaming niche however I can't find them in the search. Is facebook intentionally hiding them because I am from Europe?

I give 2 screencaps: for "star wars germany" and "star wars usa" results are completely illogical. Can someone help me out?

Hmmm I've tried from my personal profile ( Germany ) -> 4 groups, tried from fake USA profile -> 4 groups again

It is impossible that Germany has a Star wars group for every city and USA has 4 goups for entire country. And I get these result for every niche. I tried with GTA 5 niche and got the same results.

Maybe someone with legit USA account can enlighten us

Forgot to ask, do you use USA proxies or not?

These are my result for the GTA 5 niche.... way better groups with more members for Germany, even though USA is like 5-6 times larger country.

Okay I've managed to find a lot of new star wars groups, but instead of typing "star wars usa" I type "star wars california" / "star wars ohio" / "star wars texas" etc.
Yep ! let's see others results.

Try that with "GTA 5" prefix and you will get nothing...

The new algorithm update is the cause to what you are experiencing. It also happened to me and after I tried with my personal account (8 years old which I use on a daily basis not for spamming) the results were the same. My only guess is FB is imposing temporary "limitations" whenever you scrape too fast for groups. It's temporary because I was able to scrape normally after I tried 1 hour later. Also, it seems the limitation is imposed on the IP, not the account. At least, that is what I am experiencing.

7 groups, typing "gta 5 usa" :x there is something wrong for sure. It's impossible, that there are only 7 usa groups regarding this game.

I am able to find lots of groups for gta 5 usa; the limitation is definitely a real thing. Now all we need to do is test why this happens and find a loophole (like we always do)!

Well I am using a European IP on my "USA" account, I think that might be a reason. Maybe someone who is using a USA proxy with his fake USA FB account can help us.

I am using an EU IP as well (my real dynamic IP, no proxy) and can scrape lots of "gta 5 usa" groups, so that is definitely not the reason.

Okay WTF I've tried using a proxy from USA, different browser ( deleted cookies, cache etc.) and still 7 groups regarding GTA 5. I've double checked in whatsmyipaddress.

can i ask? what if you got a friend in USA and ask her to make me an fb account. after she created it, ill be the one using it. Do i still need to use proxy? im from asia by the way.

Read my reply above, IP doesn't seem to be the problem. Try with another aged account if you have and it should work (it seems the limitation is imposed on the account regardless of the IP you are accessing it with).

I didnt bother reading the entire thread, but why not try county names or state names???? seems like the logical thing to do

p.s you just give away a huge niche here, so itl be saturated in no time

Tried with states and same result. Btw, star wars is not actually my niche :D

You need chan language to English US :o and search
don't fake IP , It's not necessary

You were right to a certain degree because I got a few more USA groups when switching language to English US, but they are very small groups with less than 30 users.

One more example:
1. some random USA page loaded with the "USA" account with USA proxy
USA proxy.jpg

2. same page not loading using my Europe account
europe account.png

Unfortunately I can't search for bigger Star Wars USA groups with either of the accounts.

Conclusion: I guess FB decided to fight spam by hiding USA groups/pages.
