I have a batch of 40 accounts I had been maturing for several months while I worked on other projects.

I ran them following till they hit max and recently been unfollowing.

I had put some pins on them and did a varying amount of boards not just one board wonders when I made them months ago but hadnt touched them except for the follow unfollow which I did fine with no bans.

Now as soon as I tried to post a pin with a link in it each one gets banned instantly. I would mix it in with repins but made no difference. The moment I upload an image and post the link...instaban.

It can't be because of a blacklisted url because it is a new one Id never used before.

So fucking crushing seeing your 10k+ follower accounts getting wiped out like a falling deck of cards.

What I don't get is I have other accounts that this doesn't happen to so I have no fucking idea what triggers it on these and not on the others. Ideas?

I stopped doing pinterest about 6 months ago due to this bullshit but thought I'd give it another shot and have been winded in the first round.

These cunts are getting as merciless as adsense with their hair trigger bannings.

yeah, not surprising.

now is a good time to move onto a new method.

otherwise your option is to start going deep with pinterest. know their triggers better than they do. use random intervals and so on. it's a major pain in the ass.

I wouldn't be surprised if they added some new spam filters for this. After all, following/unfollowing people for months but not pinning/repinning content during that time is anything but the behavior of a real user. And yeah, some accounts may get away unharmed, their spam filters are far from perfect. Sometimes legit accounts get auto-blocked by mistake, it could happen the other way around.

what domains, .coms? free TLDs by any chance? what/how many proxies have you used? where did you get the accs? were they created from different ips? the accs can be doomed from creation, what you don't realize until shit like this happens

It is possible that the accounts have been flagged due to IP issues from the get go, but it's hard to determine if thats the case, if you have bought those in bulk (not created them yourself). How do you access and manage the accounts?

already 9 months in pinterest marketing and have learned that you should never buy accounts.
its better to buy emails (yahoo mails work better for me) + Privates proxies and create accounts manually. and act like you are real. upload photos, like, reppin, also comment on some photos and main thing is that you should create lots of boards. don't do aggressive follow/unfollow

I make my own accounts.

These proxies are the same ones I use on the accounts that aren't banned so can't be that either.

I used tumblr blog as the domain. I figured it would be better since they can't ban all tumblrs can they? since there must be alot of legit bloggers on tumblr? Maybe it is that? since I hadn't linked to tumblr before. Or can anyone confirm they are linking to tumblr ok to rule that out of the equation.

It was also getting expensive to keep buying new domains since my others ones kept getting blocked by pinterest within a month or so. I've had ones that lasted over a year but that is on my older accounts and pinterest absolutely fucking hates new accounts apparently and puts anything they touch onto a watch list now.

I guess it could go either way in that either tumblr could seem spammy to pinterest linking to it with new accounts or it could seem normal since alot of other natural users must do it. So interested to hear other's opinion on that.

I guess you could test something like this: find a post for one of your boards on a mainstream website (think huge sites like theverge, engadget, menshealth....but for your own niche). Download the pic from the article then upload it and add the original URL. if it goes through and the acc doesn't get disabled, then you know Pinterest is flagging your domains and it's not the fact that you're manually uploading a pic with an external link that gets those accounts banned.

im 100% inexperienced with pinterest so im following this thread to learn why the op's accounts are getting banned and what the great and the good of bhw can suggest as a get-out-of-jail card

It must be a very difficult situation for you. Still do not try the same failing method. Switch to other ideas like many suggestions here. All I could understand from this is do not try failing methods repeatedly. Just move to other working methods.

You must be doing something very wrong.

I recenctly created a shitload of new pinterest accounts (3 per IP adress) and massfollowed (unfollowed). I am not getting any bans.
- all my accounts got at least 5 boards and 200 pins
- all my accounts pin regulary
- i followed/unfollowed manually

I did, however, more or less stop the project because of meager results. People follow back, but the smart feed doesn't really show them my pins and low interaction.

In last few month I have been told few others accounts get banned when they tried to post links from third party sub-domains like blogger or Tumbler. Well it hasn't happened to me but maybe it's because I usually Pin images/urls from popular sites for a while before Pining urls from new sites.
