Meet NiceTalk, the Airbnb of teaching
NiceTalk is the newest service from Hangzhou Feizhu Technology Co, a business well-known in China for it?s language apps. The way the service works is simple, you download their app and sign up as a tutor. You are then matched with Chinese students and paid to talk with them. The pay is 10$/hour and you get your money via PayPal (there is a 20$ threshold). You don?t have to be a professional teacher to apply, all you need is to be able to speak English fluently and preferably without a massive accent.
How to get started
1. First step
If your phone runs Android, download th NiceTalk tutor app on the Play store by searching ?NiceTalk Tutor?. If it runs iOS, visit nicetalk.com using your iPhone/iPad to get the download link.
2. Second step
Using the app, register as a tutor. You can use my referral code MJAJ8FIT to get a 10$ bonus upon signup (Full disclosure: I will also get a bonus, at no cost to you, if you start teaching. I appreciate the help). At the end of the registration process, you will have to record a 30 second video explaining why you want to be a teacher. Your application will then be reviewed by NiceTalk. Provided that you speak English fluently, you should be approved within a few hours.
3. Third step
Once your account is approved, the next and final step is to teach! I haven?t used the app much (only to review it) but in my experience the students are a mixed bunch. Some are nearly fluent and some barely speak a word. You are free to teach them about anything you want but you?ll find that the students often want you to focus on IELTS and TOEFL. As for payment, everything worked as promised and NiceTalk transferred my earnings to my PayPal account within two days.
You obviously won?t get rich with this but it?s it might be useful to some anyway!

You can chat for some random chinese girl while getting paid... seems worth trying.
