Spinning Articles is Obsolete Now?

So guys got a question.

If a have blog content that I want to push out to multiple platforms to get traffic from those platforms do I even need to worry about spinning articles anymore?

Lets say I put the article on my site and let it get indexed then in a couple days push it out to the rest of the web 2.0 sites or article sites....will this hurt the rankings or the article on my home site? Is spinning even needed anymore?

Im not so much concerned with ranking the secondary sites I post my content to...just getting a little extra traffic from them...but I dont want it to hurt my money site and the main article I post there...

It depends who you ask here and what your goals are. I see a lot of services sold here using spun content. Usually spins of a unique article, but still spun.

I'm personally NOT a fan of spun anything. I think its asking for trouble. But many here swear if done right its "safe" against non-manual actions from Gooogs.

I'd avoid it whenever possible. Everything equal I feel content quality is an important ranking factor. If you're churning or spamming then it makes more sense, but for us longterm SEO builders it makes less sense.

Frankly I wish more people would turn away from it, but at the end of the day its their best guess against mine.

How spun is spun? Are you referring to auto-spun articles (using tools like WOrdAI, TBS, etc.) or are you referring to hand-spun using a real VA?

As someone who has sold spun articles a couple of years ago, my main point in spinning articles is index rate. I'm talking about articles with at least 5 unique sentence spins, at least 2 paragraph spins and then what I call "vanishing paragraphs" where outputs have differing number of paragraphs with a variety number of sentences.

It was like 10x more effective than spun articles from tools because it was all hand-made. You literally can publish on 100 article directories, 50 wikis, 50 web 2.0s and a bunch of high domain authority sites with no need for indexing services and 99% of these blogs and articles would get indexed in 12 hours max. Right now, I still use it and it still is effective (but I go for lesser number of spins since most of the projects I have are for small to med niches).

So in terms of SEO, the benefit is really great if you're going for hand-spun over auto-spun because of high index rate. Even if you're not going to use them to rank on their own keywords, you need them to have original content for them to be indexed in order to be counted as backlinks.

See the reason I am asking...not using or thinking about using this for backlinks purposes....but just to put my quality content in as many places as possible so that more eyeballs see it and my blog gets more traffic. Talking about creating an authority site with HQ content....

Quality of the content has almost no influence on your SEO, Google can't read, so if you're writing "quality content" for SEO you're wasting your time and money, the only quality content should be on your moneypage were the leads/sales are made, tier one can be done with basic manually spun content, doesn't even have to be that unique, you still get your rankings with simple spun content, i'll bet anything people who claim that this isn't true have never done a test.

Actually, as someone who used to manually flag websites as a (former) Google employee for "thin" content, I can tell you that sometimes, they do read.

I have some content that you can tell unique. I generally read various articles on a topic and then write a new article on my site. All the content are educational and I noticed that there are very few sites that have my types of content. What's your suggestion for me ?

The rule of thumb many players use is simple:

The further out from your money site you go, you can get away with lower quality. This is especially true for PBNs.

If you're using a 3 tier system to feed your PBN, use spun stuff on the web 2.0 sites that feed into your outer tier

I agree with you. I am also against spinning. It's one of the most annoying things when you're genuinely searching on Google and land on a site with spun content!

Just write a damn good unique, useful article and do the basic SEO stuff on it, and Google will bring people to you--people that don't leave your site in frustration.

One of my site even with content written by native writer got manual penalty. The reason they told is not having valuable content. I have heard the same from some of our students. So be careful with content.
