Here's my review
Ordered 30 sites somewhere around September.

Niche
I'm not sure if they're all exactly profitable. I looked through with LTP and some were in the KC 40s. However CPC and monthly searches are as described and some can even implement Amazon affiliate.
Content
Meh. $3-5 content. What do you expect from $35 sites? I think you know already what the quality is like. This shouldn't come as a surprise.
Design
Meh. He used a lot of free themes that weren't really Adsense friendly so I had to change the theme. When you order, make sure to let him know you want an Adsense friendly theme.
Rankings
Some sites are actually ranking but not in 1st page. Maybe like page 50 on average. But then again, I stopped doing SEO to it so Im pretty sure if you followed King Maker's SEO guide you might rank better.
Summary
Building a website is easy. Finding the right niche is the key. I think I'm better off ordering keywords, building the site by myself and investing the rest in quality content. Other than that, I've stopped investing into the sites after realizing it was much more work than I had expected. I also found something else more profitable to do and so now the sites are just sitting there.
If I were you, I'd focus on just one site and build that up then do another site.
