I've got this youtube nba channel where I upload basketball videos. I later share those videos on the NBA FB pages that I have. They total to about 500k likes. The thing is right now I got 3000 views, and I have made $0.5. What can I do to make more from the ads on the videos?

There are a lot of factors that come into play when those figures are being calculated. The best way to know how much can YOU get per 1000 views is to test your content. From my experience the bare minimum can be around $0,16-$0,17 per 1000 views. Tested on a crappy video in the dog niche that was ranking on page 1 and made between 6k-10k views per day.

What's this? A question I actually have enough experience to answer finally. So for the most part it all comes down to if your basing off adsense or if you are partnered by a network and what your cpm on your ads are. Me for example I run a partnered channel, my network handles my ads and they do a very good job getting high cpm ads and on average I make 1.5 - 2$ per 1000 views.

I average about $1.5/1000 views in the getting rid of a certain insect niche. .2-.5/1000 views in some stupid crazy/amazing animal type videos. Finance type videos make $5+/1000 views!

However, the cheap crazy animal videos can bank hard with shear viral numbers where the financial videos just trickle in constantly. Adsense knows the "value" of a customer and serves ads appropriately based on search history.

I currently try to target educated folks with money that are less likely to use Adblock (Older professionals that use apple products maybe?). Google should serve some juicy ads to someone that has been searching for the newest Jag or coolest luxury watch or the latest and greatest putter...

You've to grow a bit before applying for a partnership. You can always use Adsense to monetize your videos, but make sure they are not copyrighted materials
