Thin Content Spam Penalties EVERYWHERE!

Woke up this morning to 4 more thin content spam penalty emails. /sigh. Every fucking year.

Here is a breakdown of the sites:

Site A: All original content. Penalized 1 year ago for links. I never thought I would see the day that a site gets a double penalty.

Site B: All original content that has been up for a year. Never a single link built.

Site C: All content rewritten to be unique. Penalized a year ago for spamming GSA (never an official email penalty), but stacked another penalty today.

Site D: All original content, never a single link built and been sitting for over a year.

This followed about 4 blogger blogs that got hit with the same damn thin content spam penalties about a week ago. The real kicker was that 3 out of the 4 of these blogs had all original content and NEVER LINKED OUT. I am super stumped as to what is going on. Anyone else get hit with these this morning?

Glad I am not alone haha, nah but it seems like they made a ton of penalties today towards a ton of sites. Perfect timing right before christmas so that peoples christmas season is ruined - thanks google.

Oh.. I see that's why, I was targeting a keyword for amazon. Checked it yesterday, 2 of the websites that I am tracking ranking on the top 10 = gone. Goes to page 5-6.

Well honestly I am a little bit discourage in ranking my website now because of this BS google hati'n Christmas.

I would just keep the white and black hat accounts separate, for webmasters and analytics. Their logic might be that if your running 1 bad site then chances are your others are like it as well. If you think your sites had no reason to pick up a penalty then try contacting them about it.

That is the weird thing though. These were all on different webmaster tool accounts as well as separate analytics accounts (different statcounter, only 1 had GA access).

What I find so damn hard to believe is that Google literally stacked penalties on me. A site with a manual link penalty then gets a new penalty a year later for thin content/spam when I just let the site sit and do nothing with it?

These sites were not getting much traffic at all, maybe 10 visitors on a good day as I had not touched or worked on them in ages. Why penalize a site that is not getting any traffic in the first place?

If this content is considered spam, it makes me worried for my 350k word websites =/

Quality over quantity, dude. Whether it's 350k words or not means nothing. Only you know whether the content was rank-worthy. When I spoke to you last I thought you were going to take a different approach and refocus your efforts. You can't keep doing the same things and expecting different results. I am not actually sure when we last spoke. My two biggest sites are really good content written by mostly myself and other USA writers. The sites that got hit were not really making money, but the majority of them were written by my girlfriend who is in med school so the content is good. I was really not making any money on these sites at all, just confusing what happened is all.
