Hi guys,

Mark here. I may not be new on this site but I'm new to SEO and link building. I have an event service business and I would like to outrank my competitors within the market. What are your tips for me before buying any SEO related services here on BHW.

Thank you!

Tip one: Don't.

If it's your business, and you really want to rank well, especially for local services, it's so much better to do it yourself.

EDIT: If you PM me your business name and your competition, I'll give you a free analysis and some legit tips, no cost no catch.

Select those with the most updated SEO methods.
Read their whole thread if you can for you to see if they have any horror stories.
Go with the one with the most active support team. Pick up your desired SEO providers, test their support (chat or email) a few times.

do it yourseft.90% service here are shit and don't throw money for nothing. The last service i bough made my site from 1-5 to 5x-6x on many kw.

Also completely lost on where to start. There are 51 pages of Link Building Services. Woof! Doing it yourself do you recommend GSA or SeNuke or Ultimate Demon? Don't even know how to go about the other stuff involved. One thread I read stated you need the following to go along with GSA.

1. Proxy (private)
2. Content scraper/spinner
3. Captcha breaker
4. List or Scrapebox/Gscraper to speed up the process.
5. Emails: non mandatory Services like
Indexing services, Vps and captcha solutions.

But where do I start? The website is powered by wordpress. And I downloaded SEO Yeost. And I'm trying to hit the green mark for our on-page seo.

a good seo service will definitely mean more traffic to your site. I suggest since you dont have experience in seo building, then you can hire a person who is experienced then you can learn on the process. But you should ensure that the seo are up to date, they suit your business and customers can easily relate with them.Best of luck

From where? I was also told that it'd be better for me to outsource but I don't know where to start.

Don't try to buy any of the SEO packages here, more than 90% of the BST will ruin your biz. I believe there might be a few good stuff here, but is rare.

Don't go with an SEO link building tools, if you are looking to do SEO directly to your money site.
You can use it for money site, But you must know what you are doing. If something goes in the wrong the whole project will get collapsed.
Build some HQ web2.0 pointing to your money, Then build Tier links to those web2.0.
You can get those link for cheap price in market place.

What would you suggest? I am in no way able to allocate any of my time towards SEO. Maybe 10 hours a week. That's it.

Thanks!
