Beginner Amazon Niche Journey to $100/day

Hey everyone, I've decided to start a new journey thread for a niche site I've just launched in the past few days. I already have a journey thread for a authority site I've started but I wanted to make this one to show you my progress for my first ever Amazon niche site!

I had a discussion with my dad about some ideas for a site and mentioned about selling products to make affiliate income. He suggested a few niches to me and after some deep keyword research and analysis I hit jackpot with one of them. It is a sub-niche for a evergreen niche, so it is perfect. Something that is used every day and in high demand, plus shortage in some countries! The goal was to setup this site to fund my primary authority site plus setup more Amazon niche sites in process.

So here is a breakdown on what I have currently done:

• Registered an EMD domain for top keyword I am targeting (4,400 searches/mo)
• Setup WordPress site, purchased Schema theme, got awesome logo from Fiverr
• Created social media accounts and added interests to follow
• Hired writers from Upwork from $70c/100 to $1/100 words.
• Published 5 x 1,200 word product reviews with star based ratings
• Purchased Web 2.0 Properties package for $80 from BHW with Black Friday sales.

Here is my current website expenditure:

• Domain: $1.99/year (.net TLD)
• Fiverr Logo: $10
• Article Content: $48
• Web 2.0 Properties: $80
• Total: $139.99

As you can see, I am already getting some organic search traffic, which is great! I am already ranking first/second page for some main terms as well as product reviews in Yahoo/Bing. So I am really trying to push more content our for Yahoo and Bing to get me traffic!

My Goal

Overall I would love to make a starting income of $100/day with this site and push it up even further to $300+ which I know can be done with persistence and quality content + backlinks. I will publish any updates as much as possible to show you my progress and when I make my first sale!

Keyword Research

I thought I would just quickly mention that I am using Long Tail Platinum (Lifetime thanks to Black Friday special) for my LTI keyword research and competition assessment. I use this in combination of Majestic for everything I do

Good luck mate..I already brought domain and hosting.but i stuck with Product.I mean your keyword is bestsampleproductforfloor or something and when i go to Amazon i can see 1000 of products under that KW.so ho do i choose a product?when i choosing product what i have to look?

Hey mate, what you need to do is find the type of product you want to sell. For example, if you were looking for toasters or kettles, search in Amazon and you will find a TONNE of different brands and models etc etc. Now you need to do keyword research and find out what your main keywords would be. E.g. "best bread toasters" or "best waffle machines" will be a high search volume keyword. You need to then look at the top 10 competition and see if the top 10 websites have that keyword in their URL/Title/Meta and any on-page H1/H2/H3 tags (this is where Long Tail Pro helps).

Once you have a few keywords, such as "best waffle makers", "waffle maker reviews" and "waffle maker recipes" you then create those as categories on your site and write reviews for each brand/model under the reviews section, then recipes under the obvious section related, plus informational articles in the "best waffle makers" section such as "best waffle makers of 2015", "how to clean your waffle maker" etc etc.

Does that make sense?

I chose EMD as I will not be doing huge amounts of backlinking, plus from advice of other members. If done correctly EMD can still work, but I struggled to find a good expired domain related to this niche otherwise I would have used that instead.

My opinion would be to go for it. If you can target multiple niches on a single site that is great! My plan is to target sub-niches in different sites but 'relate' them together as 'sister sites'. Most likely with a navigation bar or something linking them all together

That mean you don't need "Moneypage" like 2k or 3k words .

Thanks! I actually have already started posting affiliate links on my site. I have 5 different product reviews each will affiliate links to buy that product plus a image in the sidebar to check best price on Amazon for people to buy.

Thanks I am pushing as much content as I can afford for now. I have some good writers in my hand now and can kick out some serious content in short amount of time. I actually have another 6 articles in queue all with 2,000 words. So I will have 16.5k words in a few days tsrgeting all high search volume and low comp keywords, mostly 4 or 5 word long tails.

My keyword density is between 1% - 2%, usually around 1.5% if I can. That is all I am really aiming for now! In my review articles I give all advantages of the product vs others and why it is good based on value/health essentially. Time will tell if this works...

Well I like to discuss exciting things with my parents and keep them in loop, I wanted some ideas for a small niche site to make some cash from and what I talked about with my dad turned out to be a good niche! I just need to expand it now and target not only the US but other regions where this product is used or in shortage.
