I created this thread in the lounge, since I'm not sure if it has anything to do with IM... I guess it has, since arbitrage based on market differences and you doing it online. You don't sell anything after all.

Anyways, I know some guys doing sport betting arbitrage making 13-15% profit monthly, which is kinda nice i guess. I just wanted to share this idea of making some easy money.
I got enough funds to not to care about losing the amount needed for this "method". So once I have time, I will jump into it and make sure to do a journey thread as well.

Anyone who is not familiar with the act I'm talking about, here is the point:
Betting arbitrage, miraclebets, surebets, sports arbitraging is a particular case of arbitrage arising on betting markets due to either bookmakers' different opinions on event outcomes or plain errors. When conditions allow, by placing one bet per each outcome with different betting companies, the bettor can make a profit regardless of the outcome.

Basically you make an investment without risk.
Sounds too good to be true? Yeah, it aint that easy.. I can assure you that bookmakers will do everything sabotage your "business". It's not impossible, but if you are not doing it seriously you can lose your profit or even more..

Your turn below!

its better to use the bonuses. You'll get banned/limited in no time if you put big money on arbs

I do pretty good just betting normally. I bet low to gain high, like I bet $5 on Holly an won $45.

On paper Arbitrage is a fool-proof, unfortunately as mentioned you will get your account gubbed in no time at all if you take a few arbs. Bookies are very quick to work out to who is taking value prices and before you know it you'll restricted to pennies or banned, better off doing matched betting.

Arbitrage by using multiple bookmakers is nowadays impossible beacuse limits and the fact that youcannot be 100% sure that both bookies will accept your bet. Besides, fee of withdrawals kill the proft. Considering trading on betfair or Pinnacle, where you dont need to be scared of limits, its all about good analysis of which odds will go down or up. Profit can be gained but 15% is impossible(or at least I think that with 2 years constant income from trading). Its much close to 8-9 but the good thing is that Risk is minimum.

Its been a dead system for awhile. Lots of people found the loopholes and most of them are now plugged.

You might get lucky and find one from time to time, but I would concentrate on more profitable ventures instead.

Trading on betfair is far from dead and nunerous people makes decent income out of it

Rubbish. Arbitrage has been around for the longest time and will remain to be around for the longest time. Just because you cannot think about how to hack it doesn't mean it does not exist.

Sorry but you have not yet hit the level of a professional arb yet. I get closer to about 50% per month. The amount you quoted I presume came from Rebelbetting. :)

To a professional, matched betting or aribtrage is the same thing. To me arbitrage is just part of matched betting.

Arbitrage is good but it has better results when combined with bonuses. Things may be different nowadays, but arbs user to be 1-3% per arb. Factoring in the risk of doing something wrong (gets better with time, but it's there), it's risky. The bonuses give you some extra edge and breathing room.
