Which one does google like better ?
A link from a forum.
or
A link from an article.

There are lot of factors which effect like

DA , PA , PR of forum or Article site
Article site is Auto Approved or moderated
Relevancy in regards to your website ...

So there is no direct answer to this question .

And also if i say google more likes forum links what you are going to do with that , it will take you to nowhere.

The obl from forums are too high thus the link juice being passed from a forum is low than that of a blog.

It depends on what forum and what article.

The only major difference is that from an article, the Page Authority tends to be higher than a forum, just for the mere fact of the number of pages that a forum has.

For example:

Article site has 100 articles and forum has 100 posts.

The article has contextual relevance whereas the forum most likely wouldn't and is often a no-follow.

In my opinion both are trash, unless the article site is very high authority.
