How would one get a hacked IG account back?

Been hearing stories that once you get to 100k, hackers try to hack your account, and sometimes they manage to do so. My question is how do I prevent it from happening, and what kind of proof I should be having in case the account gets hacked?

Shoe on head pic in front of your laptop with your Instagram account on display. Obviously this needs to be done prior to being hacked, if you wanted you could post the image in this thread as it will be time and date stamped.

I'm not actually hacked yet(page not even close to 100k). Just for reference I'm asking this. Are you actually serious about the shoe part?

this is actually a good tip with taking the pic just to be safe.

Even if your account gets banned and you want it back there's a good chance of you getting that account back by writing Instagram. You'll have to first verify yourself by taking a pic of you holding a paper in ur hand with a number they tell u and your full name.

I heard that it actually works if you do that, depending on which reason your account was banned and if they can "really" proof it. Sometimes, they're fair enough to unban and reactivate your account.

A friend of mine got his account banned due to using one of those "liking" apps to an high extent and got his account back by writing Instagram wanting to know what exactly happened and what the reason for the ban is "as he could not understand it" and he got an e-mail in return that his account got reactivated.

But yeah, you have to send a pic of u over to Instagram with ur face ect. so if it's really an account you think it's worth doing that I guess there's nothing against it.

I guess same would work if one hacked your account and you can proof that it - in fact - is your account, which might not be that difficult I guess.

You need access to the original account signup email, and an uncropped unfiltered image that you took yourself that is on the page. The 2 emails that instagram sends you the day you create an account will help also.

The photo doesn't have to be of yourself. You just have to be the photographer

So I basically have to post a image of myself on the page and keep the original image in the IG folder on my phone? That seems easy although that won't make sense for a tattoo page?

just go to their help desk and submit your details. of course you will have to verify that you are the owner by a recovery email and then follow the instructions given

Your instagram, facebook that its linked to and email need to have long complicated passwords. Your Facebook and email should have 2 factor auth. Hacking isnt easy but can be done if you have a cracker, lots of proxies and a long password list.
