Does anyone know where to find a tutorial on how to use Scrapebox to find expired domains? Articles I read say you need Scrapebox and Xenu to accomplish this. I am a newbie with the program and all I want is to find expired domains for my own pbn NOT to sale.

goDaddy has a platform for that. You better check out in there.. Would require some subscription though if you want to bid.

This is a tough way to go. I personally think you're better off looking into software like Domain Hunter Gatherer or Domain Miner and the like. But if you'd like to give it a go this way, these should help you out. They're older, but the principle holds true. I'd just use the footprints they give as examples as examples though. Have to get creative because I'd bet those have been hit pretty hard.

Just find a cracked version of screaming frog if you're just starting out.

I have used Scrapebox for the entire process, I don't know why you would need xenu.

Scrapebox now has a expired domain finder plugin in beta. don't know when it will be out but just in testing it Ive found domains with links from wikipedia (loads of them), .gov, .edu etc... Its a 1 stop shop including metrics like facebook, page authority etc..

But still you can just google for how to do it, the methods in the tutorials still work. You can work it out logically too, I never watched a tutorial and just worked it out, its pretty easy, albeit time consuming to do it all.

The new plugin is point and click simple.

Don't know. I know they are working on it daily, but its complex underneath and there are a lot of elements to take into account. However I am getting stellar results with it. As in a lot of expired domains with links from places like wikipedia, .gov sites, .edu sites etc...

So how do you get an invitation to the beta?

I will definitely be interested in purchasing this addon for my scrapebox :)

Its closed now, they have more then enough testers. I actually have people asking me every day how to get an invitation to the beta, so no doubt that support is getting flooded with requests. When the originally posted here on BHW for beta testers not a single user replied, so they got a few elsewhere. Then I mailed a couple thousand people on my mail list and they got flooded with requests and quickly closed it.

Can't wait for the plugin to be released. The other expired domain tool needs a bit of competition. Will it be a premium plugin?
