Zennoposter vs Ubot? (and Botchief maybe?)

Recently I bought Ubot prefessional and just download Zennoposter today to try.
I'm not new to automation in general. I've been using Winautomation to automate some processes in my work. Winautomation is very easy to use but the lack of captcha and proxy support when doing web automation is a big minus.
I'm new to both of Ubot and Zenno. So I have several questions to ask the pros here. Please help me decide which one to buy and stick to

1. In the long run, which will save more time?
I know people say Zenno has larger learning curve and I agree. Till now I'm so confused about how it works and the tutorials don't help much.
Ubot is quite similar to Winautomation so I'm getting used to it very quickly.
But in the long run, will Ubot be like Winautomation easy to learn at first but have a limit capabilities and you have waste time to invent workarounds.


2. Zenno 5 have very cool features like autogenerated profiles, proxies checker, article getter and content analysis... Can these be done with Ubot easily?

3. Should I have both?
By this question I mean, are there things that are much easier to do with Ubot and much harder with Zenno and vice versa so I should keep buy both of them to compliment each other?

Hey there,


Thanks for being a customer and for asking a great question. Comparing UBot Studio and ZP (and Botchief lol) is like comparing a truck and a station wagon (and a wheelbarrow). They are all vehicles that can carry stuff, but otherwise they are very different.




1) There's a lot that we do differently from Zennoposter - but telling you the differences won't help much unless we know your plan. UBot is extraordinarily powerful and ALSO easy to use, and relies on some simple concepts that you can expand on to create a huge automation suite.


2) You can build a proxy checker in UBot in a few minutes. I mean that, literally a few minutes. You can probably find five different example codes on our forum. If you're planning on doing actual proxy scanning, you should be able to customize it however you want with UBot. You can generate profiles as well. Some of the other things may not be built in - but the real question is, what are you actually planning on automating? No one software is going to be perfect for anyone (although I'd argue UBot gives a LOT).

3) It's up to you. A lot of people have both. You shouldn't need both to begin and certainly not until you've mastered one.

Go for Ubot! That software is simply amazing.

When I first purchased Ubot back in the day I made my money back plus a lot more in the first 2-3 weeks of using the software by automating a method that i was already doing manually. If you take action and set your mind to learning everything you can with Ubot you will be asking yourself why didn't I get this sooner. It is truly a fantastic piece of software, especially if you take the time to learn everything you can about it.

And to answer one of your questions, yes there is a little learning curve but that is the same with almost every piece of software and OS out there. I can assure you that you will not have many limitations because there is a wide range of plugins and features that take these limitations away. I have built very very complex bots which work amazingly fast and efficient.

Longtime ZP user here. ZP is extremely easy to use and you can pipe outputs from external scripts and programs. The other week I made a moz api creator in 30 minutes with email activation and everything. With that said, I've never used ubot but heard good things about it. Props to the creator of ubot (SethTurin) not trying to overly sell his product above. FCSNetworker was originally made with ubot if I'm not mistaken, so it obviously works well. I would try and trial both if you can.

I will make statement as ZennoPoster support guy

1) Learning curve. ZennoPoster may look massive for new user, but that's because it's serious software with a lot of implemented functions. All of them were developed for ordinary users and don't require any programming knowledge. Yes, There are lot of them, but when you take some time to learn these functions and options, they will look easy for you, I'm pretty sure about that. ZennoPoster is not limited by simple email creators and mass registrations on sites. You can do much more with it: combine with any standalone softwares, combine with server scripts, but the main thing about ZennoPoster projects is their structure. You can create absolutely instane logic there with tons of checks and it can be done by simple drag and drop actions which can be connected with each other the way you want to. It's easy to make non linear templates.

2) We develop software for 7 years already and you can check our changelog in order to understand amount of work that our programmers do. Level of our Development team is much higher than average and that help us to extend user experience with additional addons like one of the most powerfull proxycheckers on the market and solution for breaking captchas (CapMonster2), which allows you to solve captchas that other similar softwares can't handle.

3) Our goal is to make software useful for all our clients and we don't try to sell it blindly. We're pretty sure about ZennoPoster and that's why we provide demo version of it (Difference between demo and paid version). It's not trial, you don't need credit card, you don't even need to submit your email. You can download it, play with it, learn it, and then decide if our software fits your needs Simple as that.

As a long time Ubot user I can say that the limitations are there and every new update seems to be a beta.
Seth has his wife in charge of support, so don't get on her bad side. I haven't used support in years, since they wanted me to instruct them how to setup a test environment for the issue I was having (across several machines/OS versions).

So, be ready to be on your own when things get rough. You can see how "customers" get treated in the long abandoned sales thread here on BHW.

Automating the entire web is a complicated business, and I'm happy to say that we continually update our software to add features and to make sure it functions correctly for any user who goes through the normal process of reporting issues. We do continually fix issues that anyone reports via our normal process on our tracker.

I haven't used support in years, since they wanted me to instruct them how to setup a test environment for the issue I was having (across several machines/OS versions).

The system we have in place allows us to serve many thousands of customers. And obviously we don't ask anyone to setup a complicated test environment unless it's for some reason necessary to reproduce their specific issue.

I own both and I would recommend ubot. Zennoposter just doesn't feel as user friendly, i'm sure it can do more but I haven't run into any problems with ubot yet.

From my experience, it is more "IM Friendly". Meaning the flow of the software matches the logic and thinking flow of our actual methods. Everything is easier to use. And the ability for me to compile bots for my own use is great.

I have found that I haven't used Zennoposter in a little while.

However, let me give a few caveats. Ubot is definitely buggy, even with the level of development and money that has been dumped into it. Seth's team is very on top of fixing bugs quickly, but they will arise. I have had many a countless night threatening to smash my computer and throw it out the window because of Ubot. I don't experience this with Zennoposter as much, or hardly at all.

Additionally, I think Zennoposter has some features that would be nice to see in Ubot. And complex bots seem to function a little better.

But overall, you should use Ubot over Zennoposter.

Most importantly:

If at any point, you feel like there is functionality that Ubot is not providing that you need for your bots, it's time for you to take up a programming language and start making your own custom bots anyways. I switched to custom bots in C#/Golang about 6 months ago and it's great. But I still use Ubot for specific projects which I can complete faster in Ubot than developing on my own.

I should also add that a lot of the time, I wireframe a bot in Ubot, and then rebuild it in Golang after I see it working in Ubot.

I'm not sure I understand you, Cnotey. At first you say that Ubot is much simpler in long run, then you claim that it's not possible to use it and that you're ready to throw your PC from time ti time
Finally you say that Ubot cannot solve all your tasks and you need to use C# in order to achieve your goals.

I have two thoughts:
1) You use outdated version of ZennoPoster (I hope at least not ZennoPoster 3 which is outdated for 4 years already).
2) You didn't take enough time to learn software. And if so, it's totally my fault. We created English wiki not long time ago, but a lot of users don't like to read texts. We hired two English speaking supports, but not all clients use their help (We highly suggest not to hesitate to submit tickets if you have any questions).

At the moment we're working on English video courses which will be available on YouTube. Russian video courses did their work and a lot of customers improved they skills significantly. We hope this will help all English speaking clients
If you will take your time to learn functions of software, you will need C# only for tiny pieces of code to extend abilities of your bots, but most of functions can be achieved without any custom coding. Even for complex bots.
There's a part of our community who knows programming languages but a lot of them use our visual editor to automate things. Cause it's much faster then custom coding.

Not sure what you mean by compiling bots, all ZennoPoster clients have the ability to sell bots to anyone who doesnt have ZennoPoster license via ZennoBox option. And a lot of them use this function for their business and protection system of ZennoBox allow them to sleep well cause none of Zennoboxes was cracked as far as I know.
If ZennoPoster loads for a long time on your PC, please contact our support ([email protected]), they will check why it happens. It usually doesn't take more than 15-30 seconds to start software. This timeout is based on a lot of modules that software use and on it's protection system. That help us to keep our clients safe from competitors with cracked versions. That's why you will not be able to find any new cracked version of it around.

i didn't use zennobox, i bought zennoposter one year ago, and that time do not have zennobox, i just checked with youtube video and i found zennbox exactly like how zennoster work, seems just a light version zennoposter. i hope it run faster than open zennoposter.
but for the best choice i like is i can compile an EXE file, that i can click on it and run simply and faster. it ' not good to let customer download and install an complex environment first then can run the complie files. people always think that my virus to install a software.

My vote honestly goes with ZennoPoster.

I've used this piece of software since I started IM back in 2012 (at age 16) and continue to use it to this day.... Let me tell you learning it back then you had to know russian to use half of ZennoPoster 3. Fast forward to now and a 13 year old could learn it inside of a week and after a couple months of making bots easily do some complex stuff!

Myself and a friend of mine have made a nice chunk of dough from Zennoposter (him making $100k in a year and myself $30k last year from custom ZennoPoster bots automating our own methods).

uBot is good for simple data scraping/manipulation but ZennoPoster really brings out the spammy side of things. I love firing up my custom seo templates for building tons of blog comments and web2.0's. It's just beautiful and fully automated.

10/10 Buy or even just test out the demo version and if you have any questions the support team will help you inside of a couple business days. (usually in a few hours)

Box and Poster are pretty much the same thing. But Box doesnt have ProjectMaker and users can't manually add bots to Box. In order to use any bot there they have to buy it from any ZennoPoster client. You dont need to download and install it if you have ZennoPoster.

I have better review of ZennoBox on my own site, you can check it, I hope it will help to understand main concept better.

Yes, it may look BIG, but it's not CON in all cases. Other tools may look tiny but inside there's browser too and a lot of referennc libraries at the end

ZennoBox has amazing protection system, powerful proxychecker, userfriendly scheduler and stats for all bots.
Once you tell your clients how it works and why you use it, they will be totally OK with it.
I can say this based on my experience since I've made a lot of money by creating custom bots for clients who doesnt have ZennoPoster.
