I tried making videos of car crashes (Gave this method a shot) and I got a total of 7K views, then people want to watch cats getting scared of a piece of vegetable, where do people get ideas like these ( or tell me how to get their humor at least) ??? Should I make gif on Pinterest of cats and cucumbers?

Actually most just steal content of other videos, they added a fancy music, a commenter summarizes it fully

I watched a whole documentary the other day about cats freaking out. The whole thing was filled with YouTube clips and people obviously winding up their cats to monetize. Clearly it works because people love cats/hate cats and want to see bad things happen to them.

Car crashes are very much an acquired taste which only speaks to the dark side of man's psyche so it stands to reason that these would warrant fewer views tbh.

maybe the cucumber reminds them of a snake, in most of the videos the cucumber was put behind their backs in a sneaky way, when they're eating, so i think the cats being frightened is a mix of getting surprised and the image in their heads about the cucumber being something else, something dangerous, they also percept the word differently than us, although they have better peripherial vision than humans, they're practically red-green color blind
