Reliable and Secure Hosting for Long Term

I have a website that I am expecting a good amount of traffic over time (forum based site). My primary customers for this niche will be from India and USA.
I can spend around $2.5/month (Rupee 150 /month) for hosting.
I am mainly looking for a Reliable and Secure Hosting for a long term.
I am open to having the Hosting Companies located in India or USA.
Please suggest a few companies (would be great if you could share your experience with the ones your are currently using).

As for your question, if you want ACTUALLY reliable hosting and not an illusion of that, then I strongly urge you to increase your budget. How much traffic is "a good amount" from your perspective. 500, 1000,1000,10000 per month? Please provide more details.

There are cheap providers out there, such as amazon aws, but it's not going to be 2.5$ by any means though

Thanks ManticOre, I am expecting 1000 users to start with, but am expecting it to grow to overtime to 100,000 in due course of time. I will be doing it WhiteHat only.
I do not want to switch between hosting companies in long run. I want to start with 5GB and then upgrade the storage when the #users grows. What would be a good hosting option for me ? Pl. suggest.

Reliable hostings are quite expensive. Would you like to pay more ? If yes then, imotion and Go Daddy are most reliable web hosting website but if you are looking for companies the iWeb is the most valid alternative.

It will be very difficult to find reliable hosting with that budget. You may need to inform more details about your requirements, such as are you looking for LAMP or Windows? How much space and bandwith do you need?
