Bought a Domain.. Here are the Metrics

Referring domains ( Ahrefs ) - 19 live
domain rating: 33
URL rating: 12

webconfs domain age : 10 years 11 months

clean backlink profile - owned by a writer ( no sign of spam at all ) . checked wayback machine, has been up since 2013

diversified anchors of the previous site only

What do you guys think, paid 8 dollars . was it a good investment.. thinking of passing the link juice by a 301

any thoughts and comments are highly apprecited

The metrics are pretty low but it actually depends on the links themselves. Check where they are coming from and if they are high quality.

If they are just meh backlinks then the domain wasn't such a good investment even for 8 bucks

when you say high quality, what exactly do you mean, what sort of metrics / domains should they be, this will help me in future purchases, but as i see mots of the links point are PA and DA > 20, and has been there for more than 2 years. btw thanks for responding , truly appreciate it

well let me tell you any domain you buy you must look at only one metric- trough ahrefs, ALIAS NO metric, only what kind of backlinks, enche which site linked to that domain you are buying/analyzing. They must be domains of authority sites like medias ... vogue,bbc,cosmopolitan,gizmodo,techcrunch and the list is really huge. sites with 10+ milion visits to make it short. Usually they're priced 100+$ but sometimes peoples miss on them and you can get away with 10$. there's a lot of useful threads and with common sense you may understand how to "scrape" expired domains linked from these sites. pretty esay. godaddy auctions are also good but pricey 'cause noobs bids without research.

Well was it good or bad investment depends on ROI... How do you want to monetize it? If just 301 then pure ROI is zero, and no somehow serious link juice is there.

Without knowing what links this expired domains has I say the chances are that it's not worth $1.

Just looking at those metrics first impression is that it don't worth the $8, BUT if the domain have backlinks exactly from other sites in your niches, then it's OK.
