As the title says i need to know how i can make a video similar to this..

- What kind of software/tool do i need ? What are free and paid choices ?

- Do i need a photo editing tool too ?

You can use Adobe Premiere Pro or Sony Vegas Pro to create this type of video. Learn to use any one of these software, and you can easily create videos like these.

in my suggestion, something like this can be archived with adobe after effect although it can be complicated to learn at times the out come it provides is always outstanding if you plan of using a simple software i recommend using i movie for mac or checking on c-net for other intresting softwares

You already got good software suggestions from the people above, but there's one suggestion to the core of the subject: I would really not follow this video as an example... the music is bad, the picture quality is bad, it's hardly readable, the description is inaccurate, and most importantly, nowadays people really prefer if you TALK in the video, not just show some written sentences.

explaindio will do this with ease, plenty of editable templates and effects. with explaindio you could have the text written on the screen over the original photo or video. Also there is videomakerfx which is a easy to use editor that does this type of thing. I have used these myself and they are easy to put good videos together with music and effects etc. these are so easy to use that any five year old can do it, if you can't do it yourself then just find a five year old and sub it out LOL

Get bunch of stock images of whatever product you want to review, use the provided text tool in whatever software you choose ( I use Sony Vegas) and simply copy and paste whatever is on your website into the text box, movie making software has made everything so easy for high school kids nowadays anyone can make something like this in under 25 minutes.

Sony Vegas is a great tool to create the videos like this. Have you used it? But on the other hand, I think you are just promoting this video to get more views .

A little update on Sony Vegas..

This software needs time, it's not simple....but it's wonderfull! Now i know how Hollywood makes it's films! LOL

You are right but it is not that complicated especially for after effect professional.

For professionals nothing is complicated.
That's why we call them a Professional.
For beginners there is a lot more learning curve...
I do compositions in After Effects and Editing in Premiere.
I am well versed with these software.

That doesn't mean i know everything.

I learn new things everyday.

I agree with above mates and suggest to use Sony Vegas but I really don't think this is a very unique video, I consider you can make better than it.

I don't think that you can do this in Sony Vegas. You should use After Effects for effects + Premier for combining video

I used to make great intro, inside and effects when I worked as freelancer, it took me 2 years to learn how to do all of that.
