Scraping web 2.0s with scrapebox

When you guys scrape web 2.0s and you look at their metrics Does page rank matter?. From what I understand page rank isnt updated anymore.

I found a few web2.0s that comeback as N/A or PR 0 but they have PA OF 30+

Are these still good?.

I use moz ose to look expired tumblr accounts' backlink profile. I find PA 30 is normal, just reblogging.

If you want to use like 200 to rank then sure use them. It only takes 1 link to hit that 27+PA. The power hitters are the PR 3 - 6 with 35+pa. Sure PR doesn't mean jack but they are usually the ones with the best backlinks and aged longer. I still use PR0 as well if I need to drop some naked urls for diversity.

I've also run across a lot of tumblrs that have some trustflow and citation flow and others that have none, do these make a big difference on ranking whether you use tumblrs with good citation flow and trust flow vs using tumblrs with out any tf and cf?.

This is what I did when I was scraping tumblrs.

Ask moz for a API trial account.

Scrape your tumblrs, filter out and remove the alive tumblrs.

Put the dead tumblrs into scrape box's page authority checker and let it rip.

Take everything above your desired PA

This way you don't filter out potentially good N/A or PR 0 tumblrs like you would if you filter by PR.

Whatever you do don't take this advice. PA can be spammed and anyone who just goes off PA is a retard.... sorry it's true. The higher the PR on the tumblr the more value it has, Why? They are older, they have better backlinks and they simply hold more power.

I done countless testing and it would take me 40+ shitty random 30+ PA with 0 PR tumblrs to rank sites that I've ranked with 10 PR4-6 tumblrs. I can generally rank an easy niche site with 10-15 high PR tumblrs. I've tested it with no PR tumblrs and it just takes way to many and it's a waste of time.

The process is simple.

Check PR
Sort from highest
Sign up any PR 2+s that you can
Repaeart

4-6 PR are the heavy hitters. PR2 and 3s are always good to have sitting around also. I have personally seen another member on here scrape and insane PR 5 PA50+ tumblr and get to the second page with that 1 tumblr link in his niche

There is this huge myth that PR doesn't matter anymore.... load of bullshit. Sure they don't update it, sure it's not a ranking factor anymore but the best tumblrs that have ranked stuff for me super quick are the high PR ones. Makes sense since high PR tumblrs are the older ones with the best BL profiles.

I'm not saying just go off PR, I always find dope 0 PR tumblrs (I check the list for PA once i have found the best PRs) but what I am saying is don't go off PA it's a retarded metric. It only takes 1 random shitty link to get those tumblrs to a PA of 27.

When i first started I didn't worry about Tf and had no problems with ranking. I now add TF to the mix however I notice much of a difference etc.

It's hard to judge only using 1 metric. As Franlin said, using PR along with PA is almost a bullet proof way to make sure a minimum quality is there.
But for your case, I would check the backlinks and webarchive to make sure the blog is clean. That in case you can't get other blogs or better ones.

I do them 1 by 1 with dif I.Ps and e-mails.
