Is it just me or do you guys think all the BST sellers are turning white hat? I mean, there's still (reasonably) black hat services like PBNs, but when it comes to spam, there are less and less services offering that everyday. There was Spam Nation, by T0mmy but he closed that up. So many people used to offer ScrapeBox and Xrumer blasts. Sure, they don't have a positive effect as tier 1 links in SEO, but there are still TONS of ways to monetize them.

For example, trying to find spam services like ScrapeBox blasts is actually hard to do. There are about 30 BSTs selling manual blog comments, but what if I don't want that? What if I want to spam something to hell with 50k do follow blog comments?

The blog comment sellers are still hooked on Page Rank and want to sell you 15 PR2 blog comments and there's such a language barrier that you can't even explain that you want spam for a special reason and Page Rank is irrelevant. :pat:

Seems like I'm gonna have to boot up my Windows computer and run these blasts myself :|

Ever since this forum was made, Black Hat World has slowly been getting less and less black hat.

The problem probably comes from people buying said 'Scrapebox blasts' for their money sites and then lambasting and bad-mouthing the sellers because they don't know any better.

BEST sellers follow the money. There is much more to be made in Web2.0 and PBNs than in SB/xRumer blasts.

I'm pretty new here and I too realized this, but then again my expectations and goals are becoming closer and closer to White Hat.

Fiverr still is chalk full is spam blasts, so its still cheap/easy to find.

everybody its afraid of google

You think this is the cause?

I think the issue right now is that zero SEO is working out better than most tricks.

To rank a page it seems all you gotta do is on-page SEO and buy some adwords.

That's a really bold statement. Sure, as tier 1, but spam blasts are great for manipulation of all kinds in SEO. Like anything, you've really got to know what you're doing with spam but spam will ALWAYS have it's place in black hat SEO... positive, negative, whatever. I don't think we will see a day where spam will have zero effect on SERPs.

From what I can tell (legal) blackhat SEO techniques don't work anymore, at least not on a larger scale.

They are not much effective now a days, it takes atleast few months now a days to see reasonable results and the people who buy those spam services expect results in days/weeks which is impossible now a days. Its not 2010 anymore...

Yeah times change, the platforms we play on change their algos, what sellers do changes too. I've had a lot fun and made lots of coin with bh services, both using and selling. I guess I'm more inclined to the wh side (if there is such a thing) now because there is a lot more stability there.. and there is also more money long term.

Besides that the fact of it is Google's getting smarter. The cat and mouse game gets harder with every update. I want a stable business that should run long term with less stress and headaches.

Don't get me wrong there is always time for messing with those sorts of link building methods for fun and they can be quite profitable. As a long term business model though forget about it.

Well it looks like the black hats are throwing in the towel?

Meh.. any form of link building can be considered "bh" if we get technical about it. The lessons I've learned from the past are serving me well with my new approach to SEO, there is more than one way to skin a cat.. that's as much as I'll say. Honestly I feel the rewards are greater and last longer. It makes much more sense for me from a business point of view.. heck from a mental point of view too!

In terms of me eating up Google propaganda or if I'll be inviting cutts to dinner any time soon.. then fuck no my hat is still very much black ;)

Not only are they getting soft, the sellers (mainly PBN sellers) are selling shit.

I just found out yesterday after I asked to see domains with my link on it that they are using PBN domains with 1-5 referring domains. And they actually had the nerve to send me that crap.

Then they try to bullshit me like im some SEO noob.

1-5 referring domains with 15-20 obl is useless.

Honestly I think mods need to not even allow that. It wont rank a damn thing.

Ill be a PBN quality control mod if needed, this is out of hand.

not optimising at all is much better than blasting a massive unconditional spammy links... the sellers of course are always aiming to deliver quality, so yes, the trend is we're all going white hat

Are you joking or do you know absolutely nothing about sales???

Of course service providers do not care about quality, or if their service delivers... They care only if it sells and if their ROI is good enough. You won't find many people here willing to wasting their time offering blasts for $10, because the ROI on such a service is really bad (software costs, proxy costs, time wasted with communication with buyers, etc., simply not worth).

But that's not only about BHW.. When I go to supermarket, 95% of things I would never buy because it's complete crap and rubbish, food you should not even give to your dog if you like it. And the producers know this... Yet it is there and will be, because people buy it and the ROI is good. End of the story. Situation on any marketplace has nothing to do with delivering quality or with google updates.

Exactly. Sellers are not looking to offer results, sellers are looking to sell volume. Offering results is one way to get there but the easiest is to sell what all the noobs already want to buy, regardless if it works or not.
